This is the feedback thread for the 5 lucky testers who are trying out the new uDraw GameTablet, uDraw Studio software, Pictionary and Dood's Big Adventure games.

We'll be asking you to add your first impressions now and then will add some more questions once you and your child(ren) have had chance to play for a bit longer with the uDraw.

So first impressions - what did you think? Was it as expected? How was it to set up? What did you child(ren) play with first? What did they think?

Thanks, MNHQ

My first impression of the uDraw tablet was that it was smaller than i thought it would be! Very quick to set up (just put the wii remote into it and it works of the batteries in it). My dcs, dd1 aged 7, dd aged 5 and ds2 aged 3 have all had a try on it, and have found it very easy to work with. The havent really done much more than draw pictures on it at the moment, but they have selected different mediums for their 'pictures' ie chalks and chalkboard, paints, paper etc.
I had wondered as well about finding your place on the screen in relation to the tablet so that you can draw as you would on paper, but actually it was quite easy. dd and ds2 both need a little help picking their colours on settings menu, but ds1 picked up no problem!

So far, so good!! We are on Easter break now so hopefully will get a bit more time to play around with it.

We have played with it quite a bit. It is easy to set up and it is also smaller than I expected. My children aged 8, 5 and 3 all found it quite easy to actually draw but the younger two needed help selecting colours, tools etc. They all enjoy playing with it. We haven't played Pictionary on it yet but I'm thinking that will be fun for the adults and my eight year old. We are also yet to play the Dood's Big Adventure game.

Was very easy to set up. I rather stupidly showed DS2 age 9 early on that we could print off his pictures that he created and he loves that he doesn't lose his work and can pin it up in the playroom.
DD2 age 13 likes the drawing too, although all of my children wanted to play the games immediately rather than just draw.
DS2 did draw for a couple of hours before we threw him off tried Pictionary. it's been good for DS2 as he has to try to read the words for himself
Pictionary is such a laugh but needs to be played with at least 4 people as there have to be at least 2 teams, we tried to play with 3 people and although it was fun we couldn't play properly. Even DD1 who is 17 likes the Pictionary and she has the attention span of a gnat!
The Doods big adventure game is good too, both DS2 and DD2 have played on it, DD2 likes it and says it is good because it is not too easy and has lots of options.
I was impressed with the number of options and mediums available for drawing, I have a graphics tablet that I use for my design work and I think my children like the fact that they now have one too!
Am going to take it with us at Easter when we visit family and make them play Pictionary. I think it would be fabulous fun with lots of people!
It has been much better than I expected, so far the games have been played more than the drawing.

We were very surprised to receive the uDraw tablet and software (it just arrives with no prior notice). dd2 in particular had seen adverts for it on the telly and had been nagging (birthday next month you see!). Like the other posters, we were expecting something larger and heavier, the tablet was fairly light and not too big for children's sized hands.

I didn't set it up, but it can't have been difficult as dd1 (12) and dd2(10) got it running in the 10 mins it took me to take a shower!

So far all of the dc have had a go, dd1 & 2 have had a quick go at drawing with it, but mostly they've been playing Pictionary as it means dd3(6) and ds(3) can play too. We've not tried the adventure game yet, but now the holidays have started, we'll give it a go :)

Sorry - been on holiday for a week.
Setting up was easy. Initially both dd and I were a bit disappointed as we thought it quite complicated. The "tutorials" are not proper tutorials - it is just a help guide to read through. The drawing at first dd found tedious as have to keep going back to select a different tool or colour - it would be good if the tools etc could be on top of the drawing screen (as they are with Pictionary). However, after a day or 2 we began to really enjoy teh drawing (although again, an "undo" option would be good!)
We have played Pictionary and found that fun. Haven't really tried the adventure game yet - dd tried it briefly but found it difficult to work out what to do so I need to sit beside her (will make time for that tonight!)
