Pls tell us VAT at 20 per cent is just an evil rumour Mr C.

Your hair is great btw.

GooseyLoosey · 19/11/2009 14:30

Dear David

Do you think there is any future for final salary pension provision? If not, what would a conservative government do to ensure that the majority of people will not face an empoverished retirement as clearly defined contribution schemes will not currently be delivering an adequate income?

Peachy · 19/11/2009 14:31

'Boden bought from Ebay '

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 19/11/2009 14:31

Hatwoman I very much agree. Reminds me of Warren Buffett who has said he won't leave his children a penny, he thinks they should not be entitled because of his own hard work.

I may need to leave this thread now. I just mistook the work Eurozone for Boyzone and got slightly excited.

Come on Mr Cameron, you usually have more than enough to say on the issue of immigration.

I find myself disturbed by the slew of measures that demonise immigrants, as well as asylum seekers as 'living off benefits'. As someone who has paid high taxes, plus not received any benefits, I find it distasteful that the Conservative party moans constantly about immigrants.

What would you have to say to people like myself and my husband who have faithfully followed every legal change in immigration law, however unjustified, but now find ourselves in the position of having paid out a few months' worth of salaries to be naturalised?

Should we 'go back home'??

DavidCameron · 19/11/2009 14:31

On the BBC I used to work in TV and have always believed that the Beeb is a vital part of broadcasting. I support the licence fee and want to see the different streams of revenue - advertising, subscription, and the licence fee - flowing into television so that our production base is strong and the quality on our screens stays high. That said, the BBC has got very overextended and the licence fee is high. There is now a healthy debate about this.

ON expenses.
If MPs have broken the law then they should be prosecuted.

On how we control them.
Transparency is the best answer - my shadow cabinet now put theirs up on line straight away. When applied across the piece, This will stop bad claims and save money.

On Cancer drugs
We want "value based pricing" so that drugs companies get the drugs out more quickly and are paid by results, so sharing the risks.

Those of you who are self employed:

Do you realise that you could set up a Ltd company and then if you were employees of the company you could use childcare vouchers that way?

wasuup3000 · 19/11/2009 14:33

Hello David

If your party is successful in the next election will you continue supporting the work by The Communications Trust following THE BERCOW REPORT for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs and still support the year 2011/2012 as being the year of Speech, Language and Communication?

Many thanks if you manage to find a minute to answer this question.

slug · 19/11/2009 14:33

With all due respect Mr Cameron, the licence fee is not too high. Radio 4 alone is worth every penny I willingly pay.

Saucepanman · 19/11/2009 14:33

'I'm guessing you don't remember because you didn't have to count every penny. Not rude, just a statement of fact.'

Absolutely Riven.

mackerel · 19/11/2009 14:33

Forgive if this has been answered, but Mr Cameron -
how can you and your party (rightly) condemn the BNP whilst on the hand share a platform with very dubious characters within the ECR. If you are prepared to do this to meet your political goals, then what else would you be prepared to do.
