I can see the headline:

Nappygate

MmeLindt · 19/11/2009 14:25

David
Do you think that the fact that Britain did not join the Eurozone in 2002 has resulted in the recession hitting Britain worse than mainland Europe.

Can you envision a Britain in which the pound is replaced by the Euro?

BuckBuckMcFate · 19/11/2009 14:25

I'd like to post karenpearce's question again

"Hello David

Please confirm exact position on tax credits - everyone [except those earning over 60k] want to know before next election. Actual figures please.

Thankyou"

It is not enough to just say you are going to change things, you need to explain how and who it will affect

MadameDefarge · 19/11/2009 14:25

GentleOtter · 19/11/2009 14:25

"I do also think it's important that as well as ending the couple penalty, the state sends out a positive message that commitment is important. One way of doing that is by recognising marriage in the tax system".

How bl**dy patronising.

I'm 43 and perfectly able to decide whether to get married or not without the state's assistance thankyouverymuch Mr Cameron. making the decision to have children with my partner is far more of a committment than having a piece of paper or a handout from the govt via tax relief.

But my question is: what would you do to help self-employed people with the costs of childcare?

NickNemo · 19/11/2009 14:25

That's one entire page without an answer!

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 19/11/2009 14:25

Riven, I always picture you in an enormous crown. Don't disappoint me!

ScattyKatty · 19/11/2009 14:26

splodge are you serious? Do you think that is societies primary concern? That you earn more than 50k bit don't fell your house is big enough? Get a grip.

My husband is in the army and you should see the house we live in!

BecauseImWorthIt · 19/11/2009 14:26

What's going on in Central Office?

Has someone more important called you, Mr Cameron?

We're all busy women here, you know, waiting on your every word ...

JustineMumsnet · 19/11/2009 14:26

David typed an answer for Riven and for some reason it didn't appear - tech problem.

People won't have anything to pass on to their children anyway as if they need nursing care they'll have nothing left after the care home fees

I may have a small crown somewhere!

LadyBlaBlah · 19/11/2009 14:27

That old chestnut

MadameDefarge · 19/11/2009 14:27

How long does it take to come up with an alternative/better system of tax credits that is integrated into the benefits system.

I think most MNetters could do it in a a few days, armed with the right information.

wasuup3000 · 19/11/2009 14:27

Hello David

If your party is successful in the next election will you continue supporting the work by The Communications Trust following THE BERCOW REPORT for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs and still support the year 2011/2012 as being the year of Speech, Language and Communication?

Many thanks if you manage to find a minute to answer this question.

carriemumsnet · 19/11/2009 14:27

Having a tech crisis here - he has answered Riven and a couple of others and for some reason the messages are not appearing. He's moving on to Justine's computer while the tech man here tries to retrieve them...

Sorry...

that's good as it allows him to answer the question directly and in the right way:

'yes riven, the conservatives will make sure you get enough nappies. no quibbles.'

that is the correct answer.

foxytocin · 19/11/2009 14:28

damage control there Justine... so afaik, 9 mins and counting between posts. not good

bring back Alan Johnson I say.

Sexier too in a real man kinda way.

treedelivery · 19/11/2009 14:28

It's funny isn't it, he's only answered a few questions and I already get the impression he has no idea how financially unjust my life is, or indeed gives a hoot.

Perhaps GB is better at relating to the common man mum after all, I got the impression he did listen and care. Even if he didn't know what to say and was more likely to give a clumsy sympathetic smile than a good answer. DC seems to be living in the land of the Boden perfect family. No misfits, poor people, or Boden bought from Ebay allowed.

School run calls. Can't say I'm going to choose to wear a blue scarf instead of a red one.

midnightexpress · 19/11/2009 14:28

Blimey, if took this long to answer a qustion in PMQs he'd be done for...
