Live web-chat with Tony Parsons, 9pm-10pm, 6 October

Columnist and author Tony Parsons will be joining us here on Monday 6th October from 9-10pm for a live chat. Tony's sixth novel, 'My Favourite Wife' has just been published and is described by The Independent as 'a much bigger, more ambitious book' than million-selling 'Man and Boy'. If you can't make the chat you can post your questions in advance here.

TonyParsons, who responded to FioFio or FloFlo as she will henceforth be known , is indeed the real Tony Parsons but he was just testing his log in - he'll be back at 9 tonight which is when the chat is happening with some more answers. We'll just change the thread title to reflect that to avoid further confusion.

We only have about 2 rules Minky and one of them is no personal attacks.
Telling someone they are so far up their own arse and a twunt breaks the rules. We might strongly disagree with others' opinions, we might be a vipers' nest (am I'm not for a moment admitting any sort of liability here) but we still have standards even for, no, especially for, our guests. Don't you think?

I'm sorry to admit I'm not really sure who Tony Hawkes is , but if there's consensus we'll try. And we'll also try for Nick Hornby too.
