Hi everyone,

We're delighted that Dawn French will be joining us for a webchat about her new novel, According to Yes on Wednesday 21 October from 1.45 to 2.30pm.

In 2010 Dawn's first novel, A Tiny Bit Marvellous became the biggest selling debut hardback fiction ever and was followed two years later by Oh Dear Sylvia. On the launch of both books she visited MNHQ for webchats and we’re thrilled that she is coming back to chat about her latest novel.

Everyone who joins the thread will be entered into a draw to win one of three signed copies of the novel. If you're unable to make it on Wednesday, post your questions here in advance.

Sorry folks, that's all, I have an urgent appointment with a cream tea (jam first then cream, the Cornish way) so I have to go now. Dead chuffed that you came to talk to me, it's been lovely. Please read the book, my heart and soul is in it, as is lots of sauce and see you at the Vaudeville.

Cheerio!

Hi Dawn,

I'm a huge fan here in the U.S. Love everything you done or have been in or have written. I ordered your new book even before it had a title and happy to say it is now on it's way :)

Any chance of ever doing another TV program, maybe an updated version of Vicar of Dibley or Roger and Val, or something with Jennifer?

Lastly. would you consider having your 30 Million Minutes tour come out on DVD for those of use who won't get to see it? Big love to you :)

Have never had a question chosen before! Thrilled!

What on earth?! How did a MNHQer get deleted for breaking talk guidelines!!

Siwi · 21/10/2015 15:03

What was her Dad's advice when she tried to sneak out dressed to the nines?

JugglingFromHereToThere · 21/10/2015 15:16

ooh, thank you for answering my question Dawn and telling us all about your new book < squeeeee Grin >

I missed the web-chat as I was out at a Buddhist meditation class I go to on Wednesdays, but happily I was consoled slightly when they played the theme tune to Vicar of Dibley on Classic FM on my drive over there - they're clever like that and knew I'd give them a mention!

I will definitely be asking for your new book for Christmas particularly as I've been both a primary teacher and a nanny, and I also love New York (we went over once for a friend's wedding and got to stay with some of the family so that was fab!)

JugglingFromHereToThere · 21/10/2015 15:19

Plus of course I can say it was personally recommended to me by the author!

Choughed · 21/10/2015 15:42

Siwi - it was in her book 'Dear Fatty' and (I am paraphrasing) her Dad said that she was the most amazing, beautiful, precious thing in the world and if someone didn't recognise that or treat her well they weren't worth bothering about.

Siwi · 21/10/2015 16:41

Thank you, Choughed!
