Ds recently developed a sceptic arthritis in his knee, which luckily, following a short spell in hospital and a course of antibiotics, he made a full recovery from.
I had never heard of it before this, and would be interested to know if anyone elses children have had it. Is it quite common?

I had sceptic arthritis in my knee as a by-product (if that's the right word) of meningococcal meningitis, when I was 25. I have suffered no long term effects from it, which I hope is reassuring to you, but as to how common it is, I haven't a clue. I would be quite interested as well.

Alli - v. reassured to know that there should be no lasting effects. I guess its not that common as noone else has posted - (although I put it in the wrong category by mistake!) Art
