Let Girls be Girls- When are the companies signed up to it actually going to act?

I've seen load of stuff in the last few days that would fall under the catergory of inappropriate. Some of the shops involved are signed up to it (not sure about all).

So what are they doing apart from saying Yes to MN?

I visited a Peacocks store in Frinton-on-Sea a few months ago. My partner drew my attention to a rack of girls' micro/mini skirts marked '5 to 15 years'. We were both appalled that children of such tender years would be allowed wear such an item!

We both agree that the sexualisation of very young girls is wrong. The companies that still promote these types of garments should not only be named and shamed, but blacklisted.

Congratulations to mumsnet for starting this campaign. You have my full support (and my partner's too)!

bikinis themselves are actually quite useful on a potty training girl, much easier for an emergency toilet trip than a one piece, but i dont think the string and hanky, barely there bikinis are suitable, i search out big knicker/crop top types instead
