They did a fantastic job. Saved millions of children (and families) from catching the little blighters by doing the job that some parents can't master.

Bring them back!!

What did they actually do other than tell you that you had headlice? Offer advice on how to get rid of them? Give out shampoo that either wasn't used or was useless?

DS2 keeps getting them and I comb and comb and comb but they just keep coming back. They LOVE his head - I swear if there was one pair of headlice left in Europe they'd travel across the continent just to get to him. The kids he's catching them from have parents who know full well how to get rid of lice but just don't bother, and Nitty Nora wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to them.

The rest of my family never get them - they only like DS2 for some reason.

Went through your child's hair at school, isolated them if they found the little bastards, sent a letter home notifying the parents. They then re-checked the child's hair to make sure it was clear. I've no idea what was in the letter or what they did if the parents did nothing.

Some parents don't check their child's hair. It should be the same as neglect IMO, I've seen an infection caused by headlice, it was horrible for the poor child.

Try tea tree shampoo or shampoo called chinese whispers. It makes the hair really greasy though but stops the nits sticking so they can't hatch. He's probably catching them from the same child.
