MNHQ here: APPG inquiry seeks evidence on endometriosis and experiences in the workplace

Hi there,

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Endometriosis has launched a new inquiry into endometriosis in the workplace and is looking for evidence from women affected by the condition, as well as employers, HR professionals, occupational health specialists and healthcare practitioners.

Through our End Medical Misogyny campaign, we've heard repeatedly from women whose endometriosis symptoms were dismissed or normalised for years before they finally received a diagnosis. Many of you have told us about the impact this has had not just on your health, but on your day-to-day lives, including employment.

The APPG wants to understand what life is really like for women with endometriosis at work, what support helps, and what changes are needed. You can find out more about the inquiry and submit evidence directly here.

We're also gathering evidence and submitting evidence from Mumsnet users so please do feel free to contribute on this thread. Has endometriosis affected your ability to work? Have you had to reduce your hours, change jobs, take time off sick, work through severe symptoms, or ask for adjustments at work? Did things improve once you received a diagnosis and treatment, or are you still struggling to get support? And is there anything else you'd like the APPG to know about living and working with endometriosis?

We'd love to hear from you.

Thanks,
MNHQ

P.S. If you haven't already, please do sign and share our petition on better clinician education to help end medical misogyny.
