Hello all

Further to , we thought you all might like to see the published commitment that Labour have made to improving miscarriage care: see Labour's health manifesto, p8.

We think this is a great achievement for a MN campaign - hope you'll agree.

Should Labour be in government after the general election, we hope to work with them to flesh the policy out a little.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this by getting involved in the campaign. Flowers

Thanks
MNHQ

Labour's manifesto commitment on better Miscarriage Care

@Cherriesandapples

Is Mumsnet officially supporting Labour then? You know the ones who raided pensions, created PFI and have mortgaged the NHS and Schools for years to come, the ones who gave £250 to already well off parents in terms of maternity grants, who closed more hospital beds (mental health in particular) than under Margarrt Thatcher, the ones who have conned the nation on the benefits of wind farms to line their own pockets, who started SN illegal war.... Sorry, I need to do the school run now....

Blimey, no! We're fully aware that MNers' political views span the entire spectrum (pretty much) and we've no intention of endorsing any party.

We asked the Conservatives, the LibDems and Labour to make manifesto commitments to better miscarriage care, and we are stoked to see that Labour has done so. We see it as a testament to MNers' long-term campaigning on miscarriage (this campaign has been running in one form or another for over five years now). If the Conservatives or LibDems had made a similar commitment we would have been equally appreciative. (It's still possible that the LibDems will - their manifesto will be published tomorrow.)

@ChazzerChaser

That's brilliant news. I recently had a miscarriage and the experience within the NHS was pretty shit. Things that could be easily remedied. I looked at this campaign then and wondered what progress there was, and whether anything would happen election time. So very pleased to see this. Thanks MNHQ.

Thanks Chazzer, and we're very sorry to hear about your miscarriage (and your shit care). Best wishes from us at MNHQ. Flowers
