Hello,

Did many people find a twin nursing pillow useful? And if so, which brand would you recommend, bearing in mind cost?

Cheers..

Hi,
I didn't get a special nursing pillow as couldn't afford anything pricey but used a V shaped pillow that you can get from department stores. I found it essential for the first 6 months for feeding my twins together. They are still breastfeeding at 18 months but are far too big for the cushion! But its probably worth looking at the options as a special twin cushion might be better.

I use the EZ-2 Twins nursing pillow - took me a bit of time to get used to it, but have now fed babes for 4+ months using it - they are just starting to grow out of it, but it has been a god-send - everywhere from the bed, the sofa to the front seat of the car - for feeding in tandem.
available from the twinstore online

Agree with the v-shaped cushion (is also useful for reading in bed at night! I got mine from my mum!) - is a good place to start.

Have you joined a local twins club? Ours often has nursing pillows for sale. I also borrowed one from someone in the club for a while, but found the v pillow beter.

EZ-2-nurse was fab. Expensive but there's a healthy 2nd hand business on ebay!

I got an inflatable EZ2 Nurse and loved it. But it burst...so they sent me another one... and it burst... so they sent me a foam one and I hated it. So I fed separately on a widgey (which I loved and they the babies used it when they were learning to sit up, which was useful!) Just now at 11mo starting to tandem feed occasionally because they both lynch me and because they are mobile it's hard to get away! I do this now sitting on the floor with one sitting next to me but facing towards me and the other in cradle position. The one in cradle kicks the other in the head and the one on the floor pokes the other but they seem to just keep feeding and ignore this! I know this wasn't what you asked, but it does make me laugh

I love my EZ2 nurse - the foam, not the inflatable. I am not small either - currently about size 20. We are still using it nearly two years in for the bedtime feed, used it for most feeds till about age 1. Really really helped me to have them on their and be able to have hands free.

I too use the EZ2 nurse and love it!!! Cant do without it either... comes in so handy where I go with it (even great for feeding just one baby if need be) I'm not small was size 20 now 16 and love the adjustable strap.

I have the inflatable EZ2 nurse cushion but can't really get on with it. I find a combination of pillows works best though its a bit of a pain having to rearrange them each time. My twins are only 4 weeks old though so maybe I need more practice..

Foam EZ to nurse pillow.

I too am an ample twin mummy but found it absolutely brill for tandem nursing, mostly in the rugby ball hold, till the DTs were 5 months or so.

I used the foam EZ2Nurse with my triplet daughters. It worked for me. Really comfortable and the babies felt secure.
