rear facing twin pushchair?

Dt's currently in jane twin two, and their car seats face me, I love having them this way but it won't be long before they are too big for the car seats.
So is there a pushchair which can do this? I did see the pear? but its way too expensive.

We have a Pear which came from e-bay for about £350. Really pleased with it - one DT needs more sleep than the other, so she always sits in the seat behind so she can have little extra sleeps when we go out.

Thanks jellibob I do love the pear but even second hand well out of my price range.

what's your price limit?

i have just got the teutonia team alu s4 and it's absolutely fabulous, but that was £399

The first wheels city twin is rear facing, as is the Emmaljunga Twin Cerox. They're both on the wide side though (esp the Emmaljunga). The single first wheels seem to come up on ebay a bit, poss get one of the doubles for a bargain? I think Inglesina do one too, not sure what it's called. There was a thread a while ago where somebody listed a whole range of old-fashioned types that were rear facing which were available on ebay for not too much. I'd never heard of most of them but trying browsing ebay maybe?

I've got a rear facing emmaljunga that I got second hand for £75. It's hilariously old-fashioned compared to the Phil and Teds, bugaboos etc and very wide but really lovely to be able to see both babies and very snug.

Ah thanks for all the info ladies, think I am buggy obsessed
I really like the look of the bebe confort twin or mamas and papas duette.
Now just need to find a second hand one for less than a hundred

Tried to explain to dp my obsession with buggy's the other night, the only thing I can compare it to is his obession to all things car related.

i had a bebe confort twin and sold it because it was hard to push

the problem with tandems is that they're always going to be hard to manouevre, esp up and down kerbs because you're levering all that weight on a small handlebar.

it's not so bad when you have 2 small babies, but once they get bigger it isn't good!

Hi Ladies.
(Not posted on here for AGES)

I'm looking at the Mountain Buggy Urban Duo - it's a side by side, the new born cots face you and it is only 73 cms width, which is narrower than the first time wheels... but it is expensive.
Anyone else looked at this buggy?

accessorizequeen · 30/01/2010 15:20

Yes have one and had both single carrycots and the double - double far far better and will last longer. 1 selling on tamba for £40 at moment. Great buggy but not for car, way too heavy.

Also can get decent 2nd hand ones they are indestructible!

Just come across this site, and am buggy obsessed too. i think all multiple mummies are. has anyone tried the first wheels city twin/jogger. it seems good, but has anyone else found the seats really small/shallow, i mean literally the bit where the bums go? my dd's singleton ones all had much deeper seats. i am not due my dts until june but the buggy thing is one worth taking your time over isnt it? anyone have an opinion on this? i like this one because it is rear-facing and i really want this.
