I feel so at home!

shabbapinkfrog · 25/01/2010 09:44

LOL Frumpster - I have no credit and have somehow managed to lose your email address!! If I had a brain I would be sooooooooooo dangerous. Please email me with your address. Yes its fine to pass on my mobile number!

frumpygrumpy · 25/01/2010 10:26

LOL

largeginandtonic · 25/01/2010 11:58

Estar i am hoping the meds will vanish the lump. Have everything crossed xxxx

Trips keep positive and let everything slide for a while. Bet the kids are excited about their birthday.

FG Nice to see you.

I have 2 down with this fecking bug now. It can bugger off. Bluebell has been ill since Wednesday!

Hi everyone else.

triplets · 25/01/2010 13:29

Yep it is nice to have our very own FG back with us, it just isnt the same without her!! Glad weve heard from Estar, it must be so awful, as you said frumpster such a shame we are not nearer, distance can be a bugger! I have had a lovely morning with my reception class, no time to think of horrid things, they are wonderful, all of them. They are studying space, their teacher asked them to think of something they would need to take with them if they were going up in a spaceship. Mimi`s answer was, my makeup and hairbrush

Momma, I am not feeling the full strength of your feelings......please be more descriptive in future

OH YES please do spill on the toilet duck stories like this always cheer me up.

Trips, PMSL at hairbrush and makeup for space! A girl so after my own heart. Just exactly what my DT1 would have said. So sweet. Must be a heavenly time you get with them, the chat, at this age is divine.

My mum used to work in a nursery and one of the little boys invited her on holiday with his family. Perfectly seriously. To Antigua

neenz · 25/01/2010 15:18

Hi there, been following the thread for the last few days. My thoughts are with Estar and Trips and I have said a prayer or two as well

My DTs are driving me mad today and I am thinking I must be crazy for having another baby just as they reach the terrible twos! But when others have such horrid things happening it just makes you appreciate what you've got, even if they are little shits . It's E who is the worst - she refuses to have a bib on which is fine for fruit or toast but when she is having porridge or something else messy I tell her she has to wear a bib or she doesn't eat. Well at the moment she is mostly not eating. She does sometimes, obviously when she is hungry enough, but it is hard work battling with her every time.

neenz · 25/01/2010 15:19

Oh, and I burst into tears earlier because when the Tesco shop arrived there was yogurt dripped on a lot of the items and having to wipe all that off and then put the shopping away made me cry - I felt so tired and couldn't be bothered! Hormones eh

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Now carpets I can cope with but new frocks NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

What material is it? And what style?

If it doesn't have anything inside like shoulder pads type things then you could risk a very lukewarm handwash to wash out the conditioner and then handover for dycleaning which will starch and press it into normality.

Alternatively, wash and press it yourself.............return it to the shop saying you've changed your mind...........and buy another

Oh Momma, this too shall stay etched on your memory forever and will come out as a haunt story anytime you need the giggle. Could be a while before you get to the giggle point though.......took me nearly a YEAR

Jacksmama · 25/01/2010 16:24

[oh crap] emoticon re dress being pissed on. Must type quickly as battery will be going and DS will be waking up but what's wrong with estar's DC? Sorry no time to read back - please send my love and good thoughts (obviously too far away for any practical help).

Hope everyone else is well.

(Looks like you're filling up this thread as fast as we are the 12th Tea Room - I think your next thread title should be "D'you ever wonder where except on MN you could find a mum of an only crashing a multiples thread and be welcome?"

BTW - I wouldn't risk hand-washing the dress myself - I say this from horrible experience...

shabbapinkfrog · 26/01/2010 01:03

fantastic story Momma, really brilliant.....I once had my hair cut, while living in very posh Stanmore, Middlesex...when I came out after spending about £60 (in 1980) I realised I had my dress on inside out!!!!!! BUT a new frock covered in piss and conditioner beats that hands down!

shabbapinkfrog · 26/01/2010 07:00

Morning girls xx

triplets · 26/01/2010 08:45

Could we tone the language down girls.......you do know that everyone thinks we are middle class
Is there any news from Estar?
No news here, kids driving e insane over tomorrow, they keep inviting more, now have 11 for tea! They are upset cos I am buying a cake for the first time, I just can`t be bothered, my minds not on it. Am I bad?

largeginandtonic · 26/01/2010 09:26

Momma

Oh i bet you smiled sweetly at them and said "Now dearies would you mind leaving the room for a minute or two while mummy crawls round on her hands and knees, sobbing in to the floor, in a desperate bid to find the life she once had before children"

Did you cry? I think i might have done.

Neenz the hormones can be evil. Hang in there it will all be calm again soon

Trips do not feel bad about not making a cake! Little horror should be grateful for anything they get

We are day 4562 of the bug. Or at least that what it feels like.

Morning everyone. I just thought I'd come and update you all as we had dt2's appointment at cardiac outpatients as Alder Hey yesterday.

Well, it's not good news . I hardly know where to begin but my poor boy has now got a significant Aortic Stenosis which needs surgery some time within the next month . This is a path that I never thought I'd have to walk ever again and now 9 years later here we are. We are all devastated. I am awaiting a call from the hospital to find out what type of surgery it will be - either balloon catheter which is done through the groin or open heart which is obviously a much bigger procedure but is also more precise (the consultant seemed to be favouring this). We are preparing for the news that it will be open heart and anything else is a bonus I suppose. I am so sorry to bring this thread down with more bad news but I didn't know where else to post .

Momma, great story BTW, first time I've laughed out loud all day .

shabbapinkfrog · 26/01/2010 12:12

Oh my word Bagpuss - what worrying news. Even though the open heart surgery is a much bigger op I think it is better than the other option. Sending our love and keeping everything crossed for you xxx

largeginandtonic · 26/01/2010 12:37

Oh bloody hell Bagpuss I have no idea opf the history but that sounds truley terrifying. You must be beside yourself with worry.

I am so sorry

Let's hope he comes right out of it and makes a full recovery.

frumpygrumpy · 26/01/2010 12:55

Bagpuss darling xxxxxxx.

Please, please no saying you don't want to bring us down! I have said it many, many times over the years.........this thread is for us. For us to pour out into the ether whatever things we want to tell someone. There is not one of us who has not felt like they are facing their shittiest ever day. And we are here to hold each other up when it happens. You came to the right place!

Baggy, what will the surgery do? And what was the outcome 9 years ago? Teach me, teach me....... And what is your family support like? Local? Helpful?

frumpygrumpy · 26/01/2010 13:43

Pinkfrog.........you are quiet lately. Don't think I can't see you. Something is up, I know it. Talk.

frumpygrumpy · 26/01/2010 13:45

trips re: cakes.............................................................

I have never baked a birthday cake for my children !!!!!!!!!!!

It would taste good but it would never look as good as other people make. Yours would taste and look amazing but........you can't do everything. And maybe your children need to learn a little of that. Give them two Digestives each smeared with marg and stuck together

tkband3 · 26/01/2010 13:55

Bagpuss, so sorry to hear this news . Frumpy has, as always, used the right words, but just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you.

And Trips, if I didn't have to make the girls gluten free cakes, they'd have shop-bought every time . Don't even think about feeling bad about it.

Momma, did you hear - it's caribbean on Friday night . Are you wearing your new dress .

No news from estar here...
