Pre-school Boosters

Anyone any advice on how to do this with 2!
At the moment it is a challenge to speak to anyone as they don't return my calls, but I am sure that one parent and 2 three year olds and 4 injections is a recipe for disaster!
They sent me one appointment for both of them which I wasn't very impressed about!
Am tempted just to make an appointment with the GP when we can both be there and get them to do it.

If you just turn up at the GP for a normal slot, they might not be too happy. The nurses do vaccinations. Could you ask if someone could look after one child at the surgery whilst the other goes in with you and then swap? Or just ask for 2 appointments; one on a different day.

Is there anyone who could go with you? I took mine in one at a time cos had a horrible experience when they were having their injections at about 2 (can't remember which!) where one had to watch the other have his first, before then having his. Not nice!!

This time one waited outside. I have to say i was dreading it, but was surprised at how brave they were, and they both got a sticker afterwards!! My friend gave me good advice about not using the 'H' word (ie HURT!!)

They most definitely should have sent you two appointments!! I would phone the surgery and demand a double appointment at least!!

I took DH with us when mine had their pre school boosters. I went in with one and then came out and swapped over. That way neither had to watch the first being done and get worked up and both had someone there to comfort them after. Good luck with yours.
