Help - teething!

Suffering terrible in the poor household at the moment...
DTs are 15 weeks, dribbling, shoving fists in mouth, waking a lot in the night (they normally only wake once) and generally peed off!

Ashtons and Parsons powders are working up to a point, but I am wondering if there is some miracle thing I don't know about which will help sooth them.
They've gone to bed tonight with a tiny dose of calpol (desperate now) but they are still soooo little (not yet 9lb) and they can't do anything to soothe themselves yet, I feel sooooo useless!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure they are teething? Could they be hungry? I know they dont recommend weaning too early but just a thought.

Nelsons teething powder's work the best of anything, use it with mine. Mine went from the most whiney, horrible little monster to jolly mad baby in the space of a blink. You get it in Boots.

My Dt's are 14 weeks, but much heavier so check the label.

Doesn't souind like teething to me, sounds like a growth spurt! Babies have growth spurts at roughly 3 mths so it could well be that! Try feeding them a bit more

Teething doesn;t usually kick in til a bit later, however there are exceptions.

have to say found teething doesnt make mine wake up lots in the night either could it be a bit of hunger and the start of teething as faeriefruit cake suggested teetha (Nelsons) works better than the other and also give them calpol it does relieve them its bad and then passes my 6 mth old boy twin is on his fourth tooth now!!

Thanks for the advice ladies...

Thing is about the hunger theory is that they are doing it just after they have bottles as well! I originally thought that it meant they wanted more so would attempt it but they wouldn't take it!

We did have a slight breakthrough on the weekend as Gwen was slightly poorly on Saturday, so we decided to put her in the moses basket in our room to keep an eye on her. As a result both girls slept better and only woke up once. Did it again last night and had the same result.

So, off to Mothercare this afternoon to buy another cot as I now think that they have grown out of being in the same cot.

Once again thank you!
