Twin Triumph or Techno??

Hiya

Am looking at buying an umbrella fold maclaren for our holidays in a few months, twind will be 10 mths in Eurodisnay and 11 mths in Spain (all being done on the very very cheap!!!!!) don't want my MB getting trashed on the plane!! and need to make extra room for luggage.

Were going to get the twin triumph but have just seen the techno on a very good deal, although its 2kg heavier it looks a bit more sturdy for smaller twins?? any ideas or opinions??

Thanks

Out of those two I would get the Techno. However have you considered this cos I think it's cheaper than the Maclarens and just as good quality.

I'm not sure how heavy the techno or triumph are but my friend has this and it seems quite lightweight for a twin pushchair yet still sturdy.

I did have the option of an obaby double but it seemed a bit tougher to fold etc and was marginally wider than the triumph, love the sugar and spice cossatto!! but getting a bit too pricey am afraid, have seen the techno on special for £169 delivered which seems fantastic deal.......decisions???

Only £149.99 here

We've used twin techno since twins were born (2 years) and it's been quite hardy and convenient. Not good on loose surfaces (no beach, sorry!) or Spain's narrow pavements, but fits most doorways and survives travel well. Tip: if your babies aren't walking yet, take a sling, as they make you fold up the buggy and put it through the X-ray machine in the airport.

I've never had to fold the buggy up so perhaps it depends on the airport. i've just had to take everything out and push it through the walkway bit that the people have to go through.

Sent Dh to Kiddicare yesterday as its near his work, he pushed the techno triumph and Cosatto -I love the look of the cosatto but Dh reckons both that and techno have bigger wheels and don't steer as well as the triumph, has anyone got the triumph?? bit worried that it won't be supportive enough for 10/11mth twins - would keep using my MB here, this would just be for travelling - doesn't have pull out leg supports mmmm.

Re slings, they'll grown out of their baby bjorns by the time we go, do i need two back carriers do you reckon or is that excessive.....?? can only use them when there are two people after all????

Arggghh too much hassel - holidays cancelled

Mei tai's are fab slings and really portable cos it's just material that you can shove in your bag.

Just googled them , look great but bit pricey with buying two. Just saw this in babycatalogue which looked interesting ??? says can store into small pouch?? wonder if you could wear 2?!?!???

They are ok but not really for long distances especially once the child gets to about 12 months.

I got my mei tai off ebay. here's one like mine
