Identical/non identical, boys, girls, one of each? I once read in a Muliple Birth Association booklet that identical twin boys are the most likely to drive their mother to tears. What do you think?

I guess my non id twin girls are relatively straight forward (must keep reminding myself of this!)

What does anyone else think? Could different sex twins be "easier" as they would have their own friends and interests and perhaps less rivalry?

I do think it depends on various other factors too, like other siblings, personality of the twins involved, ages etc. Mine are 5 and play together pretty nicely most of the time but also wind each other up dreadfully - I don't have other DCs so assume this is normal sibling behaviour. I do think (from talking to my friend with twin boys in the same class!) that girls are a bit easier than boys at this age

Be interesting to see when they are teenagers. My id twin boys have a teenage brother who hasnt caused us many problems but is quite laid back and was nothing like the DTs when he was younger.

If, as I think we are reading from the same multiples association book, I have to say it has become my bible and yes it is considered that identical boys may be the most troublesome, as my boys are nonidentical and only nearly 7 months old I don't think I'm qualified to comment quite yet but Im hoping as with single babies and children that they will all go through many stages throughout childhood to puberty, some better, some worse, I get the general opinion from most mums I know of both girls and boys (not twins though) is that boys are genrally more troublesome up to around the age of eight and then girls seem to take over
like I say though, never had boys, so let the fun begin and come back to me in a few years time, see if I'm still sane
