Oh yes and she is a Health Visitor and will, no doubt, tell me all I am doing wrong in raising the dear Tomster.

This from the girl who grew up on an estate worse than the tv show 'shameless.'

shabster · 10/05/2008 09:15

Tiggs and V - have left a post on the noticeboard in the village hall for you.

Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers - they just arrived. I dont know what to say except thank you

triplets · 10/05/2008 14:25

Are we going to be brave and stay here then, other thread named if we need to hide!
Shabs, dont know why I picked that card, not the usual type for a day like today, but it just looked smiley, like Matties photo on here.So glad the sun is out up there, its scorching here. I did a brave thing this morning, I let all three go up to the village shops without me, another year and theyll have tp gp that way every day to school, so sent them for the paper and gave them sweet money, with orders to walk up to the crossing. That road is terrible, its the main Deal/Dover road and is always busy. Anyway they all came back, but there I am listening for sirens, H telling me off!! The boys have just gone off to a party, Becs is going to one at 3pm, H has gone to the allotment for an hour, shouldnt be, but I cant stop him, and I am left on my own, bliss! So back later me lovelies, loads of love to my dear Shabs and special love to our Mattie xxxxx

You were brave Trips - I have started having to let go of Tommy more and more. He starts High school in September so, like you, I have to.

My mum just rang to say her and Dad had been to the cemetery. One of the pots has been smashed on the boys grave and my mum was so very angry. She started to pick up the pieces and said she started really crying and said 'Mattie let Gran know you are here love. She picked up the last piece and underneath was a shiny 2p coin????????? When I told her about my 1p moment she was speechless.

Hope he is around when they draw the lotto tonight

As always, 'today' is nowhere near as bad as the anticipation.

I love the card Trips - it made me smile the minute I opened it xxx

shabster · 10/05/2008 15:14

I think if the mighty Frumpster explodes with rage we should change it...ce sera sera!!

Neenztwinz · 10/05/2008 17:05

Well the DTs are now four days old - it's like we have had them forever!!!

They are still amazing, everyone is so taken with them, we have had lots of visitors but everyone has been very sensitive and hasn't stayed long.

They are still feeding well but the tandem feeding has gone a bit wrong today cos Theo keeps falling off the breast asleep. But never mind. Esther is feeding more but MW says it is to catch up cos she was so much smaller at birth. So thankfully it is normal that he is not feeding quite as much as her.

I was a bit worried as well cos he hasn't had a proper poo since middle of yesterday but MW said no worries cos the colostrum can sometimes take a while to work through. He is wetting nappies though. Esther is pooing ALL the time which is why I was worried about him.

My milk has started to come in now so they are feeding for only 10-15 mins at a time. It has been 30-45mins previously. And then they can go three hours without so much as a murmur. Is this normal? Obviously want to make sure they are feeding enough. MW was very happy with them when she saw them today cos they are very alert. But is 10 minutes enough at this stage to last them three hours?

TiggerTonkerTruck · 10/05/2008 17:12

Neez,so glad that all is well.
Please believe me,the problem with having multiples is that you do have a comparison and tend to worry a lot more if one seems to be doing slightly better than the other in some areas.
In fact they are probably both doing well but are two totally different people,do you poo the same time as DH? (would be a problem for me as we only have one toilet PMSL)

Totally understand. I was exactly the same ...oh the joys...the joys....

Shabs? Did you find narnia at the back of that wardrobe?

If you are lost in there and anyone offers you Turkish Delight, take it and run

shabster · 10/05/2008 18:35

They are lurvely!! Full wall of them - Tomster said 'OMG Mum, that looks like a posh persons bedroom!!'

Narnia - I love those books, I used to read them all the time when I was a kid.

D'ya know what? My 2 SIL's saw the lovely flowers and cards and never, ever, even asked what they were for. I was so two faced with them today

Nee - You sound like you are doing a tremendous job..I breast fed Dan and expressed milk to bottle feed Gareth. It was an 'interesting' time

HarrogateMum · 10/05/2008 18:40

shabs - do you mean her maj, or me!!!

shabster · 10/05/2008 18:52

HM - the minute I sent that last post it made me giggle. Well, either I suppose, cause I think you are quite posh

You ok sweetheart?

shabster · 10/05/2008 19:12

OK girls Im on my way round to Joesters birthday party. If someone comes on here quite late and is all tired and emotional it will be my twin sister.....send her packing, she is a nuisance.

See you laters..I love all of you very, very much....thats less typing to do when I get home.

HarrogateMum · 10/05/2008 19:30

I am fine Shabs. Got a lot going on, but nowhere near as much as many! Hope your day was ok and Joester's party is fun!
