  1. do i need 2 cots / moses baskets or do i have them sleep together?

  2. should i get triple buggy for dt and ds? any recomendations?

  3. anything i should or should not be doing that is different from having one baby?

  4. hardly showed with ds, is it likely im going to be massive.. ?

Here's the regular thread

Twin boys! Fab!!

my litle boys are 5months.
i found that there really was no need 4 moses baskets. they would not sleep in them but as soon they went in the cot side by side they were fine.
they now sleep at seperate ends of the cot as twin 1 was hitting twin 2 lol.
they don't wake eachother up, even when screaming.
i lie them side by side in the morning for a few minutes so they can hold hands and say there hellos.
i know cots look lovely with mobile too but our kept the boys awake because they liked to look at it too much.

Congratulations!
I cansee you have loads of advice so I will just add mine!

  1. do i need 2 cots / moses baskets or do i have them sleep together?
My boys slept in the same moses basket until they were too big then separate ones and were happy either way. Now they are in sep cot beds in the same room

  2. should i get triple buggy for dt and ds? any recomendations?
Not sure about this but a double buggy is hard enough so think about space/car/how often you will be using it etc

  3. anything i should or should not be doing that is different from having one baby?
I don't have any other children but I would say if you can get any help even if it isn't regular such as family spending the day go for it
Our local college does a scheme where a student spends one day per week with you they don't look after the children but it helps to have another pair of hands

When the boys started to be weaned (before we got high chairs) we bought 2 of the bouncy type seats and I sat on the floor between them

Go to NCT sales if you can as they are really useful and cheap

We bought backpacks from Ebay to go for walks and we are still (16months) using them

  1. hardly showed with ds, is it likely im going to be massive.. ? I am quite slim and put on 3 stone which weirdly didn't look huge but you will soon lose it again because of all the lifting/cuddling etc

Hope this helps

I have 3 year old boy/girl twins (have stopped there!)
Re sleeping together - mine went straight into a cot together, head to head, until they were around 2 months I think when they started headbutting each other! Then moved them into separate cots. One cot probably takes up less space than 2 moses baskets.

Can't advise on buggy front but all I can say generally is that it wasnt as hard work as I was expecting (probably because they were my first - had nothing to compare to)but I truly believe getting them into a good bedtime routine early was they key. My daughter slept through 12 hours from 10 weeks and my son from 3 months.

I was enormous - but then I went to 39 weeks and they weighed 8/4 and 7/2lbs! Most of weight was actually baby.
