twin umbrella stroller with kiddie board - possible?

Hi!

we currently have the valco twin runabout with toddler seat for our 2year old trips but i want to get a lightweight umbrella stroller and a buggy(?)/kiddie board to keep in the car, as the valco is so large and heavy. does anyone have experience with this or recommendations for brands? it seems that to push this type of lopsided vehicle would be cumbersome.

thanks for any advice.

I think you would find this very hard work tbh. I had a friend who had a twin Mountain Buggy with a board on the back and that was ok - but I don't expect that folds up anysmaller than what you already have. Could you put one of your twins in a backpack or sling to leave a seat free for your toddler?

sorry, not very clear: have triplets, and they are all 10kg or more, so, no, will nto be carrying anyone in backpacks - did that until i got that life-saver of valco with toddler seat. but i think you are right, it would be a slog. (what's the emoticon for suffering from backpain?)

I have a marco sky and plan to put a buggy board on that - but not for triplets (3, nearly 2 and newborn). I woudl think a tandem might be better as like you say, it would be lopsided. The marco sky is unberella fold, but it doesn't fit in tiny boots (e.g. fiesta), but did fit in my fiat punto if positioned just right!!

I thought I would try this sort of thing when my twins turned two, get a single with a buggy board. The thing is though it was still a hassle to put in and out of the car, a bugger over uneven ground and neither of them really liked sitting on it. Also, although umberella strollers are lighter, they are normally harder to push, especially if you go and put three on/in it! I tried out a maclaren when mine were about that age, and it was like pushing a tank.

the valco looks lvoely, wish I had seen that when mine were younger!
