Sleep consultant for twins

Hi
Just wondered if any one has used a sleep consultant for their twins/multiples? And if so was it worth it?
Ours are nearly 1 and the combined nightly wake ups are breaking us! For the worst sleeper it’s awake from 12am for a few hours and then a few shorter wake ups but then disturbed by his twin whos generally the better sleeper but tends to wake at 5:30.

I’m struggling to string a sentence together in the daytime or have the patience my 3 year old needs so feel like hiring a sleep consultant is our best bet at this point. Don’t really have the money to spend but would if it might help!
If anyone could share their experience it’d be much appreciated, feeling so lost with this.

Thanks

Morning @NY152.

I have twins and googled this a lot! Never found one who replied to my enquiry!
I just wanted to add, I was almost at the end of my tether with 5.15am wake ups. They screamed every morning at 5.15am.

This morning, they just got up! May be a fluke. May be the moon alignment. Who the bloody hell knows. But, it happened.

So keep holding out hope; it does get better!

To be honest sounds like my twins - also a similar age - one of them if he gets woken he's impossible to get back to sleep and was awake from 12-2am last night - then also disturbs his sister and our older child and the cycle starts again. I work full time so the lack of sleep is often crippling.

Blissful Bambino is about £350 and they come to your house for 3 hours to observe bedtime and put together a plan - we haven't used them though

Thanks for replying, although I wouldn’t wish this on anyone it’s nice to know we’re not the only ones!
I’m very tempted when I see all these amazing reviews online about peoples lives being transformed. But I also remember with my first how cheated I felt when that musical sheep everyone raved about failed to get me anymore sleep.Shock
Will have to do a bit more research.

What’s your thought on sleep training? We have tried a few different ways and got them sleeping mostly through the night by 10-11 months. Weirdly, T1 would scream blue murder and not wake T2.
Unless it was after 4am as he was obviously in a lighter sleep cycle.

We done Ferber and now they go all night, until 5.15. Hoping the 6am today was a glimpse of the future (also turned up the heating and added a blackout blind so no idea if that helped too)

We nearly did and then I read Baby Secrets. It’s incredible and fixed their sleep.

We used one for our twins in December. It was a complete game changer. My girls were 23months so nearly 2 years of no sleep. They would wake in the night for milk, wake around 1am until 4am and then up at 6am. Most days were refusing to nap and bedtime was around 9pm. I was back at work and struggling to focus, so we finally bit the bullet.
I was very sceptical so had been reluctant to part with so much money. But I can say it was worth every penny. After 4 days they were sleeping 10hrs which since then has gone to 11-12hrs. 90% of the time they are also having a nap.

It did involve sleep training and we have split them up as Twin2 was waking Twin1 which I appreciate not everyone would have the space to do but it wasn't strictly necessary it was just a personal choice in order to see quicker results.

I just wished I had done it sooner

Thanks for replying, it’s good to hear there’s things we can try. At the moment covid has made them really sleepy and I feel bad for them but we’ve had some brilliant nights recently! It’s given me a bit of hope that things might not always be this way but i think that might be wishful thinking.
@charmingbat had a look at the baby secrets book on Amazon but i can’t tell from the reviews whether it’s aimed at newborns or would it be okay for 1 year olds from what you know of it?

Calm and sleep support. I've only just started working with them but one of the ladies who runs it has twins herself and I believe works/worked in NICU so understands prem babies too and gives advice based on corrected age which I found helpful.
