4yr old triplets!!

Hi everyone, I'm new here today and I am very lost, so I hope this message gets to everyone o.k!!
I am a mum (31) of 4yr triplets (gbg)who have just started 'big school'this term!!
I would love to chat with anyone who has or is expecting triplets as I do not know anyone in the same situation as me and would like to swap advice with other mums, especially those with older triplets who can let me know what is in store further down the line!!

Don't worry about having no experience of triplets, perhaps I could bend your ear about this: Is this the right way that I reply to people?
Sorry to be so dim!! I don't think all of the dopey pregnancy hormones have left my body!!

The best way to start investigating the site is to click on 'active conversations' on the links up above. This gives you the last load of threads with new posts so you can see what everyone is talking about, just dive right in, but try not to insult anyone too quickly....!

Well I am speaking from experience, I managed to seriously offend a couple of people on my first few posts, (don't post while veyr drunk...)and then tried to bluff my way out instead of apologising (which I should have done!)
One namechange and a year later and it's all peachy!

Sorry, very rude to leave, Life here is very busy so I have to keep stopping and starting, anyway I hope you see this sometime!!
You'll be pleased to know that I have headed your warning (thanks for that)saw a bit of a heated debate going on earlier and was dying to jump in but thought that it might not be too wise coming from a newcomer and although I hadn't been drinking I was feeling a bit PMT mixed together with a servere overdose of sugar caused be finishing off a large packet of Haribo jellies that my kids had left lying around!! (they do come in so handy sometimes-kids not the Haribos!!). So I'm back again with a nice calming, balanced view, until the next hit of coffee,sugar, or E numbers!!By the way I don't drink,not boring just can't stand the taste of anything!!

It's not rude to leave at all, I am normally only on MN for 10 minutes at a time while DD is either asleep, or engrossed in colouring in my walls, then she gets cross at being ignored and I wander off for a couple of hours!

Lots of other triplet mums on MN. Some even have other children.

As a mere twin mum I have nothing but awe and respect for the lot of you.

Looking forward to chatting to you on the d'y ever threads.

btw....... if you see a bunfight you have a couple of choices:

ignore it and post elsewhere
join in and either emerge victorious and storm off of MN muttering about it being a vipers nest (called flouncing).

Post as and where you like. Adopt rhino skin. People don't ignore you, it's just that the board can move quite fast and whilst you're waiting on one thread an hilarious thread is taking off or there's a bunfight and that's where every one is.

Don't use text speak, be careful of your grammar (there are pendants you know) and try not to use "hun" too often lol!

Best rule to follow: send Marslady lots and lots of chocolate

Hi!! sometimes I think it must be just as hard having children at different ages. At least mine can all be amused by one thing. It must be a nightmare trying to entertain them all at the same time

Before I toddle off to bed with my coffee(this is a late night for me,the excitement has made me rather dizzy) as my first day is ending can I ask one more stupid question before I go? (I think the rules state that I am allowed 24 hours of twonkness as a newbie)
My DH has just come in and said that these forums cost a fortune and I have probably run up a huge bill!! Do you really pay for the length of time or posts that you make or does he just want me off of the computer so he can play one of his games? Please advise me. Very embarrassed, going to Muppetsville to hide my head in shame for not knowing!!

Welcome, Em. I have 8 year old bgb triplets, plus a lad who's nearly 15. Life is still fairly hectic, but it's very helpful that they're more independant than they were. My one piece of advice to you would be to teach them to do things for themselves as soon as possible. I now get a lie in at weekends, as mine just come downstairs, make their own breakfast and then sit in front of the telly. They also get themselves breakfasted, washed and dressed on school morning.

I am sooooo looking forward to that day!! I haven't had a lie in for nearly five years!! My T's are still getting up at six every morning. Thanks, at least i know there is hope for a longer snooze!!

I have 3 year old ggb triplets so I'm right behind you in waiting for my 3 to be independant! I'm eagerly awaiting a lie in too, its only 8:30 here (I'm in the US) and I've been up for nearly 3 hours! And for someone who used to think 9:00am was too early...!

I look forward to talking to you! It's always nice to speak with other triplet moms

Hi!! So you have the same combination as me then!! Can I ask you if your little boy feels a little left out sometimes? Everyone always seems to go for the girls first saying how cute they are and are they twins. My boy is a lot bigger so does look older than the girls. He likes to play a lot of rough and tumble games too, so sometimes the girls leave him out when they want to do something girly!! is it just my lot or do you experience it too?!!

Hiya again! My son is left out by other people who fawn over my girlies, and I get some very queer looks about him when we're out. Looks wise, he is the polar opposite of my daughters and myself, we have curly dark brown hair, he has straight blonde, we have brown eyes he has blue, we tan sometimes, he doesn't?he's also a bit shorter than them, poor thing! He's a spitting image of dh though, so they think that I have twins, and married dh who already had a son?they get very confused that they are triplets! I think that other people that they should all be identical to be triplets, which is very frustrating! And it makes him feel a bit excluded?

However, between the 3 of them, dd2 has the most problem fitting in I find. It depends on how dd1 is feeling, but she's quite a tomboy at the moment, and enjoys getting dirty, and roughhousing with ds as she's very outgoing and a huge ball of energy. Sometimes she's feeling very very girly though and wants to be with dd2 and color the walls pink with crayon . Then he feels very left out, but on the whole they get on well and play together nicely thankfully .

It's amazing how different they can be isn't it? My youngest dd is very much the tomboy,like yours enjoys rolling around and if she ever plays dress up she always has to be the handsome prince!!Dd2 however is barbie mad and everything has to be pink and very clean, one bit of dirt and the world has ended!! Ds did like to play dress up until he realised thanks to other people that you don't get very many pink boy fairys. dd2 is the bossy one and tends to decide what is going to happen, where as ds is the most sensitive and cuddly one and is very,very protective of his sisters,dd is the chatterbox and comedian of the bunch. They do play well together for most of the time,but they have their moments

HI ladies. I've not been on this site for a very long time. I've got 3 1/2 yr old triplets g,g,b. Dont often see triple chats and would be great to say hello. I no you all posted these threads back in september last year but if your still about and want a chat would be great. Take care
