Did your breech presenting twin turn?

Both twins have been head down the entire pregnancy. Monday evening, my 5 year old fell and landed on the lower twin, causing a lot of movement. 32 week scan yesterday showed she's flipped to breech Sad

I'm hopeful she'll spin back, but I'm carrying small and they're measuring average size, so I'm worried it'd take an equal sort of shove to get her to move back, rather than going of her own accord. I've been onto spinning babies ever since, but she's still breech at the moment (I know, I know, give it time!)

I am desperate to avoid a c-section and have my birth plan meeting next week.

Can anyone give me hope that there's time for a breech presenting twin to flip to head down after 32 weeks?

Mine turned very late. Twin 1 was breech practically the whole way through the pregnancy. High risk, so I had a lot of scans, the last one was at 36.5 and he was still breech. I was booked in for an ELCS at 38 weeks and they said if I thought I'd felt him turn they'd scan to check before they did the section. Didn't feel anything so didn't bother with the scan, but when I had the section he was head down and ready. So don't lose hope yet!

(The section was fine, incidentally. I had a very straightforward natural delivery with my elder DD and I think that was better for both of us, but I recovered quickly from the section and both the twins were fine, no SCBU, out of hospital as soon as I was allowed to go home which was 48 hours.)

That's reassuring to hear. I'm hopeful she will spin back, seeing as she's been so happy being head down for so long. I actually think she may have turned last night as I can't find her head this morning, so fingers crossed!

I mainly want to avoid the section because I have a very bouncy 2 year old, Christmas coming up, and am at very high risk for PE following any operation. So, obviously, a vaginal delivery will massively reduce the recovery period, given those three things.

I'm hoping my midwife will be able to have a feel and see if she thinks the baby has flipped over when I see her on Monday. If she is head down, I'm confident she'll stay that way. Just got to keep everything crossed, but sounds like I still have enough time if your experience is anything to go by!

No - am 12 weeks post partum I’m and still annoyed with baby one Grin.
Section wasn’t as bad as I feared though.

Well she hasn't turned yet, but her brother who IS head down has dropped and they're more or less level in my pelvis now. Can twins switch places for birth???

I now have no idea whether to try to flip her, at the risk of flipping him (and then him ending up presenting) or try to get her out of my pelvis so that he has more room to drop down ahead of her 😂

I'm glad to hear your section wasn't as bad as you'd feared, though, runner
