When did you go into labour with your singletons vs your twins?

I've been told there's 'No way' I'll go naturally before 38 weeks with twins as I carried to 40+2 with my singletons. I desperately want to avoid an induction or a c-section so I'm hoping some of you may have personal experience of going into labour naturally with twins before 38 weeks, having cooked a singleton for longer than that.

3 singletons followed by twins ( all over 18 now )
First delivery was a week late but spontaneous and straightforward, second was eleven days late , spontaneous and very fast ,third was home birth ( by choice ) at thirteen days late again spontaneous and quick .
Twins I got to 39 weeks plus 3 and was very large and uncomfortable so chose to be induced which made my labour longer and I had an epidural for the first time but both still arrived safely , twin 2 went breech after her brother was born but was born vaginally with no tears or stitches required .
Not sure that helps you but after 3 late singletons I was still carrying them at 39 weeks and my consultant would have let me cook them for longer .

Thank you for your reply. I suspect others must have had similar experiences for my consultant to be so sure. I'm having no issues at all with the pregnancy so far (28 weeks), and wouldn't suspect twins if it hadn't been for the scans, so I'm growing increasingly sure I'll go over the 38 week point 😫

Need to bring it up with the consultant at my next appointment I think, as I'm interested in expectant management until closer to 40 weeks and need to go through the risks of both options, specific to me. I have a history of precipitate labours, so want to avoid the syntocin if I can!

So 28 weeks is like full term for a singleton , my third was nearly 10lb so I was used to being large but by the time I was induced it was very uncomfortable , walking , sleeping and turning over in bed all difficult but no position was comfy for long , good luck
