Twins...so many questions!

Hello!
I am a first time pregnant with twins and, at 13+1, I am now beginning to believe it (not entirely!).
I am a bit of a control freak and need to know how to get organized with twins, I have so many questions. We'll probably enroll in a twin antenatal class and hope they'll give us advice.
In the meantime, perhaps some mum of twins will be able to shed some light for me on:

  • sleeping arrangements. We haven't got much space in our bedroom for two cots. Is it reasonable thinking they can share one for the first few months? I was thinking to buy two and keep the second one in the box until they are ready to move to their bedroom. And how old are they when they can be moved in two cots in another bedroom?
  • feeding. I want to breastfeed but we have no help at all, therefore my OH was thinking of doing a mix of bottle and breast, so that he can help/take turns. Is it doable or once they are used to the breast they will not take the bottle/other way round?
  • travelling. What do you need in the first few months for walks/shops? We find the idea of keeping them in their car seats very practical (vs having car seats + pram). We would not have to move the babies when getting in/out the car and the 'pushchair structure' would fit in the boot. But is it the correct way? If you opted for the flat pram, does it fit in the boot?

Aisha, mine are 7 months and have only just started to sleep better the last couple of days. When they were 2 months they wouldn't sleep not on me for more than about 10 minutes! Sounds like your are doing well!

Thanks for that... cant wait for my twins to be 7 months... iv got a long way to go with my boys then..lol
Have not slept more then 3 hours since they come along, and lets not forget the last stages of twin pregnancy😬

My twins are nearly 5 months and they wake up once for a nightfeed. They go to bed between 7:30-8:30 and they’ll sleep until 3/4 then back to sleep until 7:30-8:30. Feeds are quick and they just go back to sleep - no rocking/soothing etc.

Wow... see my twins go to sleep after 10.30pm and then wake up every 3 hours😬
Hopefully as time goes they will sleep longer.. btw they dont drink much, not more then 3 ounces.. so im thinking may be there stomach is bit small, they wer born 36 weeks.. may be its to do with that.

My twins are 7 months and wake regularly for feeds. That's just babies for you. If they don't then sure, you're lucky and that's great, but if they do then rest assured they grow out if it eventually.

Yeah they were born 38 weeks and 7lbs each ! 🙈 i was massive! Worth it though. No time in scbu
