When did your twins arrive?

Just curious as I've heard a few stories lately from women whose twins came at 31 and 33 weeks. Should I finish work earlier than 33 weeks???

Mine came at 41.5 weeks- little gits didn't want to come out. I worked until about 37 weeks irrc. Definitely no need to stop unless you are feeling rough and in need of rest.

I really am feeling rough, and ready to finish work, like I did right at the end of my pg with dd.

On the one hand I can't imagine how i'm going to feel in 8 weeks time and how enormously huge and uncomfortable I will be...on the other I can't imagine how awful it would be if my babies came too early.

That's it, I'm getting a cork and lying down for the next 8 weeks

I'll be booked in for a c-section at 37 weeks so that's my target cooking time.

I left work early today becuase the backache sitting in that chair was unbearable, so i think lying down is probably for the best from now on ...

Hello

I remember the backache well, it was a nightmare, the absolutely worst thing about being pregnant for me.

I worked til I was 32 weeks, my twins were born at 36 weeks.

my twins came at 40 weeks, they weighed in like singletons. I continued working til 39 weeks. I felt a connection to them both in the womb and was 100% sure they were super healthy. I used to walk to work 2 miles each way - yes, right up til 39 weeks!

Personally i believe that carrying on with excercise was a brilliant thing to do, there were some twin mums in the anti-natal clinic that had given up on even minimal movement or basic excersise by about 5 months or so, and damn if they didnt complain on and on about their pregnancies, they complained and winged more than the active mums-to-be!! (This inactivity was due to lazyness, not complications, i might add!).

I think that it was due to keeping active (and breast feeding them both) that i regained my pre-pregnancy size within about 5 weeks after birth. (well if all these singleton mums can do it im damn sure I could!)

So my recommendation is stay as active as you can for as long as you can (oh, and breast feed them)
