Twins in the same cot

My 8mo twins have been in the same cot since they were born. when they were little we used blankets. Now its turning colder is it safe to use sleeping bags? I worry about whether they're a suffocation hazard with two babies. They don't disturb each other so for now would like to keep them in the same cot. Does anyone have any advice?

Not sure...but if you are worried how about walk in fleecy sleepers plus blanket?

My twins were together un the same cot in sleeping bags from 8 weeks until 14 months.

I think sleeping bags would be safer than blanketsSmileI don't have twins but my DD is in a slumbersac bag that has feet holes which might be an option as there's less length to the sleeping bag material so less likely one twin could get underneath it?

Hello, our twins are 9 months and share a cot too, they are usually in sleeping bags and I've not had any concerns. The boys sometimes bump into each other in the cot or end up all squashed up but I have never been worried about their sleeping bags interfering with the other baby.

I would get another crib. As soon as they start shuffling up it can become a hazard. Imagine growing up knowing you soffucates your own twin? Horrible to even type but there's a reason for safe sleeping recommendations.
