I am going to try and breastfeed, I fed my other 3 for varying lengths of time but I am concerned with how easy/hard it will be with twins.
I have bought a steriliser and bottles incase we need them.

Any advice would be great

Absolutely yes to a twins club. On my first visit, a seasoned twin mum said to me "you poor cow, its a bit shit to start with isn't it?" and then took one of the babies off me and gave me a coffee. It was sooo welcoming - only someone who'd had twins & SCBU could really empathise. They always had twice as many helpers as mums so always got chance to chat, have a coffee. Bloody loved it Smile

I am still feeding twins, they are now 1.

Do your research prior to going into hospital. I had midwives who believed you couldn't feed twins... Get copies of the hospital policy if possible prior to going in. Use a pump between feeds for the first week or two to up supply quickly. I swapped over each feed but I tend to over supply on one side.

Get a really good feeding cushion - I used a peanut and piglet one - it's expensive but very supportive (great to use for support when pregnant too)! I didn't get back ache. I could feed and read easily. Use per £ its a bargain!

Find a local multiple group if possible.

I bed share with them both.

I will feed until they stop of their own accord.

I'm so proud of all the twinny mummies that have done so well breastfeeding!
I breastfed 1 but my other twin was too small and weak to feed off the breast as she got too tired after 1 minute and fell asleep so I had to express for her. I was also topping up with formula. I ending up after 8 weeks feeling guilty because my boy was getting more breast 'is best' as they say than my girl and I worried 'stupidly' that if he went to uni and she didn't it would be because he was breastfed and she wasn't! It sounds silly now I know but in the moment it was terrible guilt. The health visitor and doctor asked me if I was enjoying it and I said no it it stressful, I can't tandem feed in public, or express and I feel guilty all the time. They both said if you're not enjoying it, don't do it! So I stopped and haven't looked back! I'm glad I tried for as long as I could, but we are all much happier now. Breastfeeding is not for everyone or every baby, if you want to...go for it. If not then don't beat yourself up, they will be happy and healthy babies anyway. Well done all mummies you're all doing great!!
