auntymandy, what happened? You must have found out by now - is it twins?

I was told at 5 weeks that I had 2 sacs and one yolk and therefore was having a twin pregnancy but I'm desperate to know if one yolk means that one didn't develop or if it was just too early to see. I'm 11 weeks now and everything feels really stretched already. Do you generally feel bigger earlier with two in there? I was really feeling sick and tired to start with but it died off a couple of weeks ago - although I could still sleep for a week!!

Hi zeph, yeah bigger and earlier! At 3 months I was already in my maternity stuff and had a bump. Where with my first pregnancy I managed to look not too pg until about 5/6 months.

I was 12/13 weeks when i found out for my 2 sets..it was at the first scan...i had no clue i was carrying twins first time round.....second time i had an inkling as was big again compared to singleton pregnancy...it was me that said to the midwife...'it's twins again isn't it' as she started the scan...she said '..yes!...
There was actually a third but the baby hadn't developed properly very early on.

Week 8. I had an early scan to see what was going on because I was so horrendously sick. Didn't seem to be especially bigger at that point - but I was later!

I was 15 weeks! I went for what I believed was my 12 week scan, and was told that I was actually 15 weeks pregnant with two!

I hadn't had any morning sickness, and had not put on any weight at all at this point so it was a big shock!

I had seen the midwife a few weeks prior to the scan, and had the heartbeat check, and only one heartbeat was detected, so I had no reason to think otherwise.
