37+2 with twin boys - 6lb 9 and 7lb 4. I was enormous but it was worth it! ELCS as they were both breech.

37+6 with dcda boys. 7lbs5 & 6lbs4! Emergency section after 7 hours of full-on labour, got to 8cm then the clip on dt1's head failed (faulty wire ffs!) then suddenly there were 14 people in the room, I was signing a form and my gorgeous boys were out in 10mins! Be warned though that if you have a lot of fluid - especially on your back, epidurals don't always work. I had 3, not one of them worked! Getting the spinal was blisss! Good luck, twins are great! :)

34 weeks with MCDA twin girls. They had undiagnosed twin to twin and spent three weeks in NICU. They are 22 months now and doing really well.
Congratulations Smile

38 weeks with DCDA twins. 6lbs14 and 6lbs3. I had an ELCS with no sign of impending labour even though everyone including my consultant expected me to go into labour early. Both perfectly healthy and well.

I had a planned induction at 36 weeks as they shared a placenta. The twins weighed 6lbs7 and 6lbs1 and needed no special care. They were born vaginally with twin 2 breech.

Hi congrats, i had my twin boys at 33 weeks, was due to have EC at 37 as developed obstetric cholestasis at 32 weeks but it wasn't to be. I ws lucky that i was able to have a steroid injection to mature their lungs. They were in SCBU for 2 weeks only, 3.9lb and just over 4lbs. They're 11 years old now and they're massive - one is tallest in his class at 5ft 7 and other about 5ft 5 and definitely amongst the tallest! Good luck

I was 40+1 with DCDA girls. It was all very much like a singleton birth really except twice over. A combined weight of over 14lb and no sign of the placentas starting to fail - I asked at the time.

34+1 with DCDA B/G twins (on Tuesday) ELCS as I was already in for hyperemesis gravidarum when they spotted obstetric cholistasis as well, managed to argue up from 33+3 and glad I did.
Section itself was planned like a military operation, but they let us have our hippy folky birth soundtrack so it was a bit surreal.
DD (twin 1) was 5lb7 and came out fine but needed oxygen later, DS (twin 2) was 4lb12 and needed oxygen straight away but has been fine since.
They're tube fed currently but thankfully despite the spinal, my milk is in so off the combi/formula.
They spent 2 nights in the NICU and then we've all gone to transitional care, (so under the eye of the intensive care team but mostly left to our own devices in a hospital room).

38+2 with DCDA girls - ELCS as they were both breech. I find it very odd I have two children and have never had a contraction! One was 5.5 and one 7.13 - she's still loads bigger now and I get asked what the age difference is!

How many weeks did you get to?

I get that andadietcoke - I was hoping they would even out but they never did. I also have the complication of slightly different clothes sizes...gaaah. And the larger one enjoys lording it over the smaller one sometimes.
And congratulations MotherKat. I hope you are home now and things are going smoothly.

I got to 37 + 4 with DCDA twins, they were both transverse so had no choice. Could have gone longer but that was when the consultant booked me in. Found out genders after I delivered them, a girl 6.15lb and a little boy at 5.5lbSmilethey are almost 2 months old

31 weeks and they decided to make an early appearance on my last day of work before my maternity leave started so I got no time to relax and nest before hand. They then spent 5 weeks in scbu just growing. 3lbs 9 and 3lbs 11 they were teeny tiny. They are nearly 6 years old now.

cathcustardtart · 05/03/2016 13:48

37+3. They're 6'2" teens now learning to drive.
The best thing DH have ever produced.
Congratulations
