HELP .. What have I got myself I too?

It's a family wedding (my sisters) and we are going abroad in 6 weeks and I'm having a heart attack!!

Not so much the twins as such as they will hopefully just sit still, but my 19 month old ahhhhhhh

Any advice would be fab

My dh and 2 elder children 6,9 and other family members (with there own children) will be on board too.

I think each child needs to be assigned to an available adult or they won't let you fly, that's probably the best way to manage the flight as well

Sky cots aren't available I ready asked!! Thankfully my mum will hold a baby whilst we take off and land so that's fine!!

It's going to be a flight from hell isn't it!!

That is a fantastic idea about the sling, I was worrying how we were gonna cope gettin off and gettin passports etc before we get pushchairs, so that solves that one :)

I'm going to buy loads of new stuff and put it in a bag for little
DD all exciting things lots of drinks and snacks!

The flight is to kos so I think 3/4 hours?

My eldest 9 year old is fab he will def help if I ask!!

I'm just dreading all the stuff I have to bring as well .. I don't want to risk it and hope they have anything, also the babies are 7 months old now and terrible finger food eaters choke at everything so will have to bring baby food pouches my goodness!!!

I'm sure you'll manage! I don't know how, but it'll be worth it for some time in the sun :)

I came on to comment about pouches of food. We took our 1 year old twins abroad and took enough pouches for one meal a day, enough weetabix for breakfast every day and then made up the third meal a day with whatever we could find (scrambled eggs, bread, yoghurt, banana mashed up, mashed adult dinner if it was suitable etc.) it is reassuring to know that you have two meals covered with the weetabix and pouches - they won't starve if you take that - and I'm sure you'll manage to create the extra meal. You could take extra weetabix in case there are some days you don't manage to find the third meal?

We also took all their nappies with us as nappies are expensive in Greece/Spain. Remember that infants generally have a 10kg weight allowance, plus buggy.

What made it possible for us was arranging it so that DH could manage all the luggage and I could manage all the kids and buggies (which for us meant two single buggies and buggy connectors as I wanted two single buggies for the holiday). That way we cod be self sufficient at the airport which was reassuring. Sometimes help presented itself, but it was good to know we could cope if it didn't.

Each adult that's in charge of a baby on the plane needs a 'baby kit' of drinks/snacks/change of clothes (inc a spare adult t shirt), nappies, wipes etc. there is generally only one spare oxygen mask per row, so each of the three children are likely to be on separate rows unless you have paid for a seat for them. That makes it hard to share 'baby kits' so everyone should be self sufficient.

Have a fab time. It will be hard work, but you should be able to get a few hours on a subbed with a book and no babies given the number of adults going :) that will make any amount of effort worth it!

Have fun :)

Was also going to say that you'll be split up due to the oxygen masks for babies - one per baby, I'm not sure whether that means the toddler won't be able to sit with you or DH (on the basis that you'll have a twin each) so check with the airline.

That's fine, my mum will be holding one and once seat belts signs are removed we prob all will be swapping from
Time to time anyway :)

Thank you for the advice

Now the great task of clothing for them all

I'm bringing lots of spare food also, the little tinkers are rubbish at finger foods and the thought of having to mush everything gives me a headache!!! Pouches all the way I think!!!

Also thinking about bottles .. Sterilising fluid?? They both have 2 botttlea of milk (morning, night) and a bottle of juice in the day!!! So 4 bottles to clean?!
