EZ 2 nurse: is it worth it?

I'm planning/hoping to bf my twins, who are due soon.

Is it worth getting an EZ2nurse cushion? They seem very expensive.

And I've seen both inflatable and foam ones mentioned on threads here, what's the difference?

Thanks, all.

It's impossible to know, I'm afraid. It may work for you and the twins may like it. Or you may not be able to work with it. Or one or both of the twins may not like it.

For what it's worth, I couldn't get the hang of it at all, and neither could Boy Twin.

So the only thing you can do is borrow one/get one from a charity shop and see if it works for you.

Not much help, but I didn't want you to shell out for it for nothing, as I did.

Thanks. £70 odd does seem a lot for something that might just clog up the sofa.

hi there - it was vital for me for the first 8 weeks or so - but then my babies got too big really (they were unusually large for twins!) still have it with a missing clip which could be easily replaced... it's yours for a tenner plus postage? Smile

Well, after a few months, my inflatable Boots one got too small for the twins to fit on, and they kept sliding off. My (wonderful) MIL then got me a V-shaped cushion from some interiors shop, which worked rather nicely.

I loved the ez2, used it for more than a year with mine. Is there a twins club near you? Some have nearly new sales or a message board with sales on there.

I wondered this as my twins are due soon too, but £70 seems steep to me! Will watch this thread Smile

I got on really well with mine. It was the only way I could feed both boys at the same time (vital for saving time with a 2 year old to look after as well. Used it for 5 months then passed it on to another twin mum. I had the inflatable one BTW.

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!

I used mine for over a year

Why don't you buy a second hand one from ebay, or if a TAMBA member, there's always ones for sale on the FOR SALE FORUM

HappyAsASandboy · 17/04/2011 15:40

I tried the EZ (foam) and hated it. The babies slid all over the place and by the end of a feed the cushion was always nearly vertical, with me and the babies wriggling back in the chair to escape it!

I didn't get the hang of feeding both babies together until they were about 10 weeks and could hold their heads a bit better. Then I found having one across my body, with the other facing the same way (head between other twin's tummy and my boob) worked best. I guess one in a cradle hold, one in a rugby hold.

One of my local Childrens Centres has one for loan. Might be worth asking. Also try your local twins club - even if there are none for sale, someone might let you pop round and try theirs? It is a lot if money for something that might not work for you.

Thanks for these, I'll look around for one I can borrow when the time comes.

My husband got me one after I got frustrated with the piles of pillows I was using....I wish he hadn't bothered!!

They are a lot smaller than pics make them look (I know it's our fault for not reading up properly) but I found it was a tight fit for me to get it round me (size 16) and I still needed my pillows to keep it at the right height...I went back to my pile of pillows and a V shaped pillow and much prefer this now I am more experienced!
