Wow - 14 monthsis really early - you're very brave! And with three at once! Is it worth trying one at a time?

Whatever you decide, I like this potty - v funky!

If you want a cheap one, then a supermarket's own brand is probably your best bet.

Best of luck Sarah46. I saw your reply on my post about my twins. Maybe it's better to start early. I think my two have got a bit lazy about it. I've just rung home and they're in pull-ups -DH said they refused point blank to put pants on. As you say, it will save you a fortune - I spend enough on two lots, let alone three!
Let us know how you get on.

Sarah - if you do it - then DO IT! stay at home and concentrate on achieving it.... I do think it is doable.... I see (sorry) too many of my friends say their child isn't ready.... and I doubt that very much.... but it is a job in itself and I think many would prefer the child to do it of his/her own accord at 3 ! To each his own - I say

Do let us know how you get on Sarah. My ds is in cloth nappies and one thing I'm holding out hope for is that he can potty train "early" too, because he can feel the wet. He'll be 14 months in 6 weeks, so I'm curious.

I didn't mean to put you off. Like pupuce said - it's definitely achievable because at 14 months, they should be developing bladder control. All the best!

Bobsmum - DD was in cloth so it was HEAVEN when I was able to store them in the attic.... and luckily DD is dry day and night just before 2.... it is GREAT!

Hi Sarah,
Another triplet Mum, at last! I didnt attempt to do my three until they were two, I decided to do them one at a time. Thomas was the first and he cracked it within three days, then Rebecca, after two weeks I gave up, the same with James. Four months later Rebecca came down one morning and told me she didnt want her nappy on, that was it, we never looked back. Another three months dragged on, I was begining to despair as I was desperate to get them all into pre-school. Finally one morning James did exactly the same as Rebecca, by this time they were almost three yrs old! The thing I also did was to immediatley stop putting a nappy on for bed, I never looked back on that one. But what was so intersting was that last year when they were five, Thomas who was the earliest to be trained started to poo himself, it went on for about four months, now I think we are out of the woods, they are six in Jan!!!!!!!!Ggood luck!

well!!!
first day saw me in bed with bug,so dh stayed off work, still left nappy off all babies but, couldnt get 3 babies to pee,so couldnt show them what was needed in potty!
2 peed while not in sight only know because end of vest wet,1 didnt wee at all!!!put pull up nappy on her and she weed in it,so she must know what weeing is do u think? today decided to try just her first, cant chase 3 around, and show them what wee is and where to put it,this morning she managed to wee in potty ,hurray, but i was in kitchen getting myself a bit of toast and came back to find her dipping her toast and dairylee in it and eating it,grabbed her and ran to kitchen and run tap over her hand and soggy toast, managed to prize it off her but she was enjoying it! i had left her on the pot with a bit of toast in front of cbbs, she had a drink about an hour earlier, not sure about this but give it till tommorrow evening and if no progress try again at 18 months, im glad i read recently that babies wee is sterile!!!

EUWWW!!!

I think trying one at a time sounds like a good idea. I can't imagine trying to train 3 at once .

bobsmum · 26/09/2003 09:56

Thanks for the update sarah46.
lol dairylea dipped in the wee - kids'll do anything for dairylea

How many of each do you have? Girls might manage atm, but the boys could take longer?

sarah46 · 01/10/2003 11:36

sorry those who hoped it could be done, not with triplets, but had i 1 to concentrate on it probually would have been alot better,i also have to take into account the fact that they were 6 weeks premature, but u dont know till u give it a go,will try again at 18 months or if like suggested in that other site, ill definately be looking for that look that says im weeing! also going on holiday in a couple of weeks so cant continue now till after,
