Feeding chairs

I'm just about to purchase a gliding feeding chair and just want to ask if this would be used/helpful or a waste.

The EZ2nurse cushion looks quite big and looks like it would only work on the sofa or bed?

Sorry if im bombarbing this board with questions at the moment, i'm at home all day and my mind is full of thoughts :)

xx

If you plan on feeding one at a time you might enjoy the feeding chair. I just bought a chair I really liked that I thought would still be nice when they are toddlers, for stories and things. I found the specific feeding chairs a bit fugly.

Sometimes you have to feed both at the same time (I have an EZ2 nurse) and the only place I feel safe is right in the middle of the double bed, I'm really paranoid about one of them rolling off.

Congratulations Smile

If your twin-nursing experiences exactly replicate mine, it will end up being a waste- after a couple of months, they settled into needing milk simultaneously, and I think those chairs look too narrow for mummy+2 babies.

That said, I've never tried one of those chairs out, so...

EZ cushion only works on sofa or bed as too wide for a chair

If you're going to tandem feed mainly then don't buy a chair. If you're more likely to feed individually then you might like a chair. They me they look a bit expensive. One of the best things about breastfeeding is you dont need much 'stuff' for it!

I use my gliding chair loads, great for feeding but also soothing and rocking. I used my ez2 nurse cushion about twice because I never really got the hang of tandem feeding (until now and at 14 months they just help themselves Grin ) It's very difficult to know what will work for you until you get into some sort of routine. If you can afford it, buy it and give it a go. Congratulations.

Aha! I had a system like LondonLottie, but I couldn't work out how to describe it.

I used an inflatable pillow with it for the first few months, because I could inflate/deflate it as the babies grew, to keep it fitting over me, in between the arms of the chair.
