Hi Sarah! Not a mum of triplets, but an older (age 43)pregnant mum. We have an 'old duffers/old up the duffers' thread--come and join us if you like.

Hi Sarah,
We did post to each other a while ago. My trio were 7 last week and poor little things had such a miserable time. There is the most awful virus doing the rounds here and James came down with it on his birthday ar 2am, the other two went off to school, by Sat I had Thomas and my husband and James all very very poorly, I didnt know where to turn! Their big party on Sun had to be cancelled which really upset Rebecca as she was fit! It is very hard work at the best of times, but absolutely exhausting when they are all ill and all want YOU!I often think about all the other families out there who have lots of children, but boy it makes a difference when they are all the same age! I think too that you would be kn.....ed at any age keeping up with triplets, but like you Sarah, having them a little later in life is soooooooooooo hard. I was 46 when they were born, so will be 53 in March and Harry is 64, and we get so very fed up of people asking us if we are the grandparents! I think I am quite young looking for my age, but we have both aged I think with "sadness" after losing our beautiful Matthew who would be 26 this July. He was our only child then, left us with no warning, no medical explanation as to why he collapsed and died at 14, and my heart breaks with the eternal missing of him. People should never judge, they just dont know what has happened to you. I never thought my life would be like this, I have four beautiful children, three to love and touch and talk to every day, and one who lives in my heart forever ...............
