Should I buy moses baskets?

Hi everyone Smile

I'm pregnant with twins and looking for advice regarding moses baskets! I have read that often twins sleep better when they share a cot and that some parents don't use moses baskets for their twins because of this. Would be grateful for any comments/advice in what you do/plan to do with your twins? Thanks

missymolly-congratulations!
i had my 2 in shared cotbed in our bedroom but seperate moses baskets downstairs. For me that was perfect as i could move them easily-after C/S and was very ill after delivery. They slept well together and seperate, lots of people said they wouldn't get enough use to justify buying them but ds was in his until 6 months and dduntil 8 months so it was fine.

Thanks lagrace. I've been told by people also that you don't get alot of use out of moses baskets but not obviously always the case Smile

Thanks Londonlottie Smile

Would it be ok to use a travel cot with bassinet for sleep instead of moses basket/cot throughout the day downstairs? (we're in a house so would only be using cot at night in the early days) Sorry for silly questions! Blush

Mine shared a cotbed in our room, and napped in bouncy chairs downstairs up till about 5 months.

Around this time they got too big/mobile to share a cotbed, so had to go into their own room with a cotbed each (no room in our bedroom for 2 cotbeds). When they moved into their own room, I started them napping in there too, as by that stage I was ok with carrying them up and down stairs.

I think a travel cot/carrycot/bouncy chair is fine for daytime naps.

Our changing table was also a chest of drawers, so I used plastic tablecloths and my dining table for changing them downstairs Blush as I had a section so couldn't face the stairs/bending down for every change.
