Help I need a hand with DD's hair for an event

It's for a dance comp

Currently she wears it like this

If you look at hair on the website you can see hers is a bit plain

So can anyone give me a tutorial (on-line) to help me get something a little more fancy

Thanks

Her hair is in a pony in the pictures

I was thinking to fold a piece of fabric in half - sew a leaf shape but not all the way to the fold (using buttonhole stich or a tight zigzag) cut away the space material

Then using a plain black band thread the leaf through the loop (round the band) & make about 5 of them

Then when the band is round her hair pin the end of each leaf into her hair - but I think it might look too pixie like or flower fairy like...rather than elegant...but latin should be fun

So a scrunchie might be best

[squints]

oh I see - I was thinking I liked the style of pic1 best

leaves do sound a bit pixie but you know the style best - our Latin was always significantly glammer than ballroom

The actual hair it's self was the same in all three - I just tweaked the accessories

I think leaves would be a bit much esp as I won't have time to alter it between rounds (probably as I'm not going)

So a green scrunchie would be best I guess

I'm not really au fait with it all tbh - DH does the running round but I wanted to put a bit of effort in

But as I got new dresses (against teachers advise - she doesn't like green or 'homemade dresses') I thought I would accessorise a bit
