Thanksgiving- What do you take the house as guests?

Ds and I have been invited to a thanksgiving dinner. I'm quite excited as I've never been before. She is making pumpkin pie. So i can't take a pudding. I'm going to take a starter of melons and parma ham. But should I take anything else? Or should I know about any other customs?

Ask the hosts if there's something you can bring.
You'll find the food remarkably like an English Christmas dinner. Melons and ham sounds nice to me, but check with your hosts (ham not so good if they're Jewish, iyswim!)

No, not Jewish. Just wanted to surprise them.

Any nice house warming type present will do, I'm sure. Enjoy!!

(do you actually like pumpkin pie? )

I've never had pumpkin pie so it's a first for me. Thank you, yes I will. I had a hard day at work today. So really glad I'm tomorrow with DS Yippee!
