This time they had our names on. One each. I just got in the car and drove up the street and gave them back to the little weasel. I am shaking. WANKERS!

What kind of letter?

MrsMattie · 29/04/2008 18:54

They only had your names from the electoral roll - all parties and anyone else can find them. They're still bastards.

savoycabbage · 29/04/2008 18:59

A vote for us and we will run the foreign bastards out letter. For the local election on thursday.I should of said that but I was FURIOUS! It's just that I am in my own home and my four year old is bringing me a letter with my name and address on actually saying that she should not be here. It has upset me so much. 'Who is it from Mommy' she said. Nazis that's who.

Good for you for giving the letter back to them. If it helps, must people think they are bastards. You shouldn't have to deal with this shit - it makes me furious.

Have you contacted the police? I dont know you personally but keep your head up high and be proud of who you are. You are unique and your a special. Its sad that people have to spend time hassling other people.

micci25 · 29/04/2008 21:53

you should contact the police they are not allowed to do this sort of thing and should not be allowed to get away with it either!!!

i know every one is entitled to thier own opinion but my opinion is that this party should be outlawed! it encourages racism and homophobia which i thought was illegal nowadays any way?

cluttercup · 29/04/2008 21:54

for you.

madamez · 29/04/2008 22:03

Are the letters specifically threatening, addressed to you in such a way that you think they are targeting you (ie abusing you, personally, for being a multicultural family) or are they standard election propaganda material? If it is the former and they are singling you out for harassment then you should definitely contact the police (and make a fuss in the local paper as well, it is extremely unacceptable - and illegal for a political party to harass or threaten anyone in their homes).
If they are sending you election leaflets, then they are legally entitled to do so, and however unpleasant you find their views, they are a legally permitted organisation and have the legally protected right to distribute election materials. But you also have a legal right to put a big sign on your letterbox saying NO BNP LEAFLETS, BNP OUT, BNP ARE SCUM and as long as you keep within the law (ie not naming individuals, using too many swear words or making untrue allegations) then you can make your views every bit as clear as they make theirs.

savoycabbage · 30/04/2008 11:50

No they are just election material but in envelopes with our names on. I know they are allowed to campaign but it's awful and it makes me feel uncomfortable. Am I standing next to these people in the newsagents or helping their children up the slide in the park? Also now I am worried that as I have shoved the letters back at them, they DO know who I am and where I live. I am white though so he might not. He certainly behaved as if it had happened before.

Hi Savoy

I remember the BNP coming round leafleting years ago - back then they were called the National Front - I jumped on my bike, found the little twerp and gave back the leaflet with my grammar corrections and a few other little comments added. I also threatened to call social security and dob him in for working whilst being on benefits (bit of an assumption but I was on a roll).

This was way back when. Good for you for giving back the leaflet.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and election leafleting is election leafleting BUT if you think this was aimed at you then go to the police.

Starbear · 08/05/2008 22:42

Huggymummy I remember those days. They were marching in our High Street. We were told by the police not to go near the windows and to call them if they attacked us in anyway. Nothing happened to us that day. Other things did happen but small scale. I grew up and have worked against them, can't say how here. But they are sad people that often get arrested for crimes against each other and their family. Hateful people who will never find true happiness not even in their own home.
They can only be arrested if the action was directed at you not just election stuff. Hope you went out to vote against them

kiskideesameanoldmother · 08/05/2008 22:49

Savoy, my teacher's union sent out a circular advising it's members not to vote BNP. It was a reminder that while their propoganda is about immigrants and non whites, their agenda also spread deeper, into other minorities such as the disabled.

I think it was good of them to point out that the BNP will only publicise what it thinks many white british will want to hear but keep the rest of their agenda under wraps.

Leenie · 14/05/2008 23:21

i had a confrontation too , years ago when my girls were little, they actually threw one of their newspapers onto the pathway in my front garden where my girls were sitting playing, i was so mad when my d brought it to me i went outside the guy was wheeling around a shopping trolley to deliver this crap, he laughed when i told him off, so i tipped his trolleys contents over into the road and kicked the newspapers into a messy heap, he stood still in shock shouting that it is criminal damage, and my neibours stood clapping . i know it was wrong to damage someones property, and i accept that they are a legal party, well actually i dont accept it but like most issues connected with government, you dont have much choice, but they are hurtful, when its affecting your loved ones or even if not actually affecting them it hurts to know that its targeted at them, however, doing it made me feel sooo much better and my neibours support was invaluable cos it proves that these scum really are the minority

savoycabbage · 15/05/2008 18:44

Unfortunately for me the BNP actually won the seat where I live. I felt sick and wanted to move. I know you can't let them hound you out etc. but this is my actual real life. So many people don't understand how I feel at all. I know that they have hardly any actual power but it's all a bit creepy. They are having a 'fun day' in the park FOR THE CHILDREN! The park is down my street.

Hi guys, im living in Ireland but know all about the BNP, dont think they were too keen on the irish either! But tell me, how are they legal, let alone run in politics? Do they not incite hatred?

savoycabbage · 29/05/2008 14:22

Yes I think they do. I fecking hate them that's for sure. They don't run anything. We have now got 2 on our council of 30 something so they don't have any power to speak of but they are trying to make themselves sound a bit more acceptable by standing for council. Here they just said that they would do whatever they thought that we wanted to hear - the return of weekly rubbish collections and I imagine that people thought that if they voted for them than this would happen. Which of course it won't. Anyone can stand for council so that is why it is legal.

carolcupcake · 29/05/2008 14:34

I would be furious, they came up to my DP and started banging on about running foreigners out of Britain, DP said he hope not as he wasnt British. He explained he was German and then they started calling him "Brother" and basically assuming he had bigotted views, which is not true at all. He was so shocked as there is NO WAY he would ever agree with them

nkf · 29/05/2008 14:40

They're horrors. Good on you for handing it in. I read a piece recently in which some BNPer said there's no such thing as rape. Women like sex he said so making a woman have sex is like forcing her to eat chocolate.

(That sound you hear is me grinding my teeth in fury)

elkiedee · 29/05/2008 21:41

Ugh, how can they have a fun day in the park? Is it in the BNP's name or some other excuse? I mean, I didn't think any political party could take over a public park for a "fun day". I'm sorry that you have to live with those people on your doorstep.

pinkteddy · 29/05/2008 22:00

This article Labour's lost ground was in the guardian the other day. BNP has 9 seats on Stoke on Trent council (and could be running town by 2011!) . One of the BNP councillors is a school governor - that made me sick to my stomach.

elkiedee · 29/05/2008 22:04

And they're using bingo sessions to be out there among the community. I agree, I saw the article too and it's pretty disturbing.
