Dual heritage; introducing the topic

Hi!
first post so bare with me.

I'm adopting a child who is dual heritage, and I’ve been asked how people (friends etc) have “introduced” the topic to their child?
For context he 1/4 black, but appears white - blue eyes ginger hair. I’m also 1/4 not English, but from a white background, so I’m used to having non-English traditions and food in my life, but that isn’t enough apparently!

any hints, tips or words of advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

There are children’s books that talk about family trees and mixed race families. That’s how I’d introduce it, look through age appropriate childrens books. You can read and discuss.

I've got quite a few of those, but they seem to want actual hints and tips from people, rather than books.. I've said I have the books, but they seem to want more.. Hmm

Are we talking black dolls for example to play with? Visits to multicultural events?

Honestly I've no idea!!!
There's a picture of his dad in his bedroom, I emailed the local cultural centre, but they haven't replied...
