Christmas/New year

Hi! I'm Greek living in the UK. This is going to be our daughter's first Christmas. In my country we celebrate Christmas by having Christmas dinner but not presents. Santa claus is coming the night before new years day. We want to start our family tradition with my DH and DD.
Any suggestions? Won't it be strange when she goes to school and other kids getting gifts on Christmas from santa claus but she's getting them on new year? Should I at least give a present for Christmas from mummy and daddy and then wait for santa claus on the new year's eve night? How do I explain her about Santa's delay in the future? 😂 Any suggestions if you are a foreigner in the UK or a local would be appreciated! Thanks xx

Nah, didn't work. Too much excitement through friends and school. So we ended up adopting the UK way.

Might just have to go with it. Santa claus is coming on Christmas and mommy and daddy give her a new year present! Thank you for sharing your experience x
