I think Thomas Jefferson has black descendants after having an affair with a slave; I don't think he himself was part black.

Jason Robinson, a man with a turbulent past who has successfully and determinedly turned his life around, has just been named England's first black Rugby captain.

I know we don't really need another 'ooh, you could be good at sport' role model for black children, but the way in which he has faced and beaten his personal demons is inspiring to all.
