Any mothers of mixed race children in Manchester?

I appreciate that this is not the meet up thread but it would be nice to meet with mothers who are in mixed race relationships/ and have children that live in Manchester. If you are out there let me know.

Bye for now.

Sorry, took a while to get back to you. We're busy next 2 weekends, but could meet one weekend after that - so 12th/19th/26th April?

adee1974 · 30/03/2008 20:21

hi there, I live in Manchester so if you're interested in meeting up soon let me know x

Tash75 · 02/04/2008 15:05

Definitely - what children do you have? Are you, or any of the others who've been on this thread lately - around over those weekends I mentioned? If the weather's looking good we could find a park or something

Cancerian · 04/04/2008 21:56

Hello all,

I almost gave up on this thread as I never got any responses from any people living in Manchester or Cheshire area. However, it would appear that we have some genuine interest now. I think we need to find out where you all are located and try and pick a suitable location for us all. I am south of Manchester and I drive so I am fairly flexible. There are a few soft play centres dotted around and I know of one in Timperley, Chorlton and Bredbury. Let me know what you think.

Hello there, my partner takes my little girl who is one to a soft play centre in Chorlton. How does that sound? This weekend is out, poss 19th, next week?

Tash75 · 08/04/2008 12:31

That would be fine with us. We should all wear red rosettes

adee1974 · 09/04/2008 17:22

Hi Tash and Cancerian, cool about meeting up, do you have a profile? maybe we can all email each other and make arrangements to meet next Saturday? Let me know

Tash75 · 11/04/2008 16:02

I have put e-mail info on my profile - how do we share info like that? is it through the Mates page?

Cancerian · 12/04/2008 21:53

Hello again, nice to hear from you. Are you guys working at the moment? would either this Friday or Saturday suit? I am on maternity leave at present and my second child is due in 5 weeks. I will look at updating my profile to include my email so that you guys can view it. It would be great if we could meet next week.

Weekends work best for us, and this Sat would be fine - how about everyone else? Do we list each other as Mates to view profiles?

jaz236 · 14/04/2008 19:01

Oh my gawd i missed this, anymore meetings happening>>

Tash75 · 15/04/2008 09:57

You've not missed anything yet, if you're around this Sat coming (19th) maybe at Chorlton. The more the merrier!

jaz236 · 15/04/2008 20:45

Damm I cant do this Saturday Im off to the Trafford centre, oh well Im sure there will be other meetings - Enjoy yourselves ladies xxx

Cancerian · 16/04/2008 19:49

Looks like it is this Saturday. It is most likely to be heaving so it might be an idea to meet in the cafe shop inside Head over heals. What time are we going to aim for? does midday suit? perhaps someone ought to bring an A4 bit of paper with MUMSNET on it, in order to indentify each other. Looking forward to meeting you all. How many of us are actually going?

Tash75 · 17/04/2008 15:56

There was me, Cancerian and Adee1974 - but not heard from her for a while - she suggested the date and place! Are you still out there ADEE? Or do we want to make it next Sat when Jazz236 may be able to come too? But midday would be fine for us, whichever Saturday.

adee1974 · 18/04/2008 13:19

hi there, sorry about the delay, not had the chance to log on.

I can make next Saturday 26th April, really sorry about not being able to make this one, have fun guys but hope to see you all next week? Can you all make it then?

Looking forward to it!

Tash75 · 18/04/2008 13:58

We could make Sat 26th, shall we leave it till then? I'm going to try adding you to my Mates, and if you do the same, then see if that gives access to e-mail address then it might be easier to arrange!

Cancerian · 18/04/2008 19:14

I am happy to leave it to the 26th April. By the way I not entirely sure but think you have to pay a £5 to gain access to other chatters details and communicate with one another privately. Have a good weekend and I do hope we can do this meet-up next week.

OK, that sounds like a plan then, we can meet next Sat, 26th, at the play centre in Chorlton at 12 in the cafe - what's the playcentre called, I don't know Chorlton at all so would need to find the address. Looking forward to it. Who else is up for that?

adee1974 · 19/04/2008 09:53

Excellent! Tash its called Head over Heels, here is the link: www.headoverheelsplay.co.uk/main_pages/how_to_find_us_and_parking.htm

adee1974 · 24/04/2008 15:40

looking forward to seeing you guys on Saturday

If anyone else wants to come, more than welcome too!

Tash75 · 25/04/2008 09:57

See you tomorrow! We'll try and look obvious! Maybe a Mumsnet sign is a good idea!

Cancerian · 25/04/2008 16:11

See you at the venue at midday tomorrow. Bye for now
