Can I get anything else towards childcare?

DH is a high earner but I'm not (about 24k). Because the area we live in only has expensive childcare, everything I earn is eaten up by this cost (bar £200 p/m on a full-time salary). After the next DC I will have to give up work or pay to be there. We are both getting childcare vouchers and I think that's it because if DH salary. Am I right? TIA

Depends on how much your DH is earning. I think a family income of more than £60k or so means you won't be eligible.

if it's vouchers through work then no everyone can get them as long as their emplyer offers them. they're a tax break to the employer as well as the employee and not income dependant.

you won't get any help with childcare on an income of 24k, never mind what he earns on top.

all you'll probably get is minimal child tax credits, of about £40 a month (double if you have a child under 1). you'll get nothing though if your joint income is over 60k.
