How can someone with a less than perfect credit rating sensibly get some cash together?

I lent someone a lump su of money last year, we agreed a date for it to be returned and it is, but before that date I need a lump of money, around £1000.

Unfortunatly the person cannot give me the money any earlier as its from one of those policies where you recieve money once you reach a certain age.

Anyway I don't have a good credit rating but really need to raise 1k in a few months, we have no savings. I don't think I could get a credit card (have tried previously) and we already have a loan, but they wont let us borrow any more (it was only a small loan of 3k int he first place and is only a few months from being paid off with no late payments ever so that is frustrating!)

Any ideas?

I would look at your Experian credit report. And anything that isn't accurate you can dispute, within no time at all you'll have improved your credit rating with a few letters etc. to correct errors.

Would your bank consider a remporary overdraft for you?
