Tax return - Why does it say I am being repaid money?

Not complaining, but want to check it is right.

In 2008-2009 I was self employed (made a loss), and did a bit of employed work too.

The tax return form thingy says they are going to repay my tax taken from the employed work - is that right, or I have a pressed a button wrong somewhere?

the self-employed loss is relieved against your employment income, reducing the taxable income.
This won't have been accounted for in your tax code applied to your employment income, so too much tax has been deducted at source - and you get it back .
