How much should I offer to pay someone for tiding my garden?

Im planning to advertise locally for someone to come and tidy my garden. I live in a victorian terrace, with a smallish garden which has a (not overgrown) lawn, and flower beds along oneside. I've been really neglectful over the last year (or 2) with the weeding, and while the garden is by no means overgrown it needs a good tidy up. I just can't face doing it, which I know is very lazy!!!

What do you think would be a reasonable amount to offer to pay someone (was going to advertise on gumtree) to come and do it? I reckon theres probably about 5 hours work. I was thinking around £60? It is more of an odd job man job than a proper gardener job IYKWIM. Does that sound reasonable??

I would expect to pay between £10 (probably a bit hopeful here!) and £15 an hour.

Don't know where you live but these people:

Eds Garden Maintenance are very good.

They also bring all their own equipment, which is very handy.

My friend is a gardener. She charges £10 per hour (Herts). MIL in Herefordshire pays £8 per hour.

I'd go for a gardener rather than odd job man (who might think plants are weeds and whip them out). Any one worth their salt will bring their own equipment.

I'd say £8-£10 per hour for unskilled labour, who hasn't got his own kit, £10-£15 for a 'proper gardener'.
