How many times did you view your house before putting in an offer?

Have a family looking at our house , they seem to love it which is great. They have done 3 viewings in as many days and want to come back for a 4th.

Of course I dont mind but have never heard of someone making so many viewings. Although of course I suppose when you are spending that kind of money you need to be sure.

When we moved into the house we are now selling the neighbours commented on our previous stalker like external visits. The house has no garage or drive so we would turn up at various times to check out the parking.

Twinset, we did that with the house we are in now. There is no off-road parking (victorian semi in a road full of victorian semis) so we drove past at various different times on various different days to assess the parking situation.

I did not view this place even once before we put an offer in. DH saw it for fifteen minutes, decided it met our criteria and put an offer straight in, while I was stuck in a tedious meeting at work.

I think the difference is that then the housing market was crazy and places were going on the same day they went on the market. Whereas now, if times are slower, people can ... ahem... take their time.

Funny about the stalking- after we had the offer accepted, I would then come on regular pilgrimages to the outside of the house, to get excited/ worry about it being ours.

Good luck with it all.

We saw this house once before we put in our offer. We had looked at 5 houses that day having done lots of research before hand and drawn up a checklist of what we wanted as we had had to drive 150 miles to where we are living and couldn't come back to view more houses easily. We came back once more after exchange of contracts to check on what we would need to do.

The house we sold went on the market 5 days before Christmas and sold the day before Christmas Eve. He was the only one to view and his partner came to see the house 3 weeks later so I was worried all that time that it might go wrong.

Bought of plan last twice I have moved. For this house we went round the show house twice - second visit was when we reserved the plot. Apartment before here was plot only as hadn't started being built so no show house, etc. First house was also new but built shel - looked round twice again, as above.
