How do I work out how much state pension I will get?

Hi. Does anyone know how or who I speak to to to work this out quickly? I know I will be short a substantial number of years for a full pension and wanted to know if I should pay to make these years up before the price for doing so goes up in April. Thanks

According to The Times today, a visit to this page should help. Haven't checked this for myself yet, so sorry if it isn't of much help

Sorry, this page

you can do it online - you have to fill in a form, then they send you the login details through the post a few days later - so still time to get it if you do it in the next day or so.

I did it a couple of weeks ago.

It's the amount of money that you could just about survive on divided by 2

yes I can imagine that!

I think I remember seeing something about a new scheme where women that stay at home to look after children get pension credits for the time they could not work. Anyone know anything about this?

that's home responsibilities protection - but it's not a "new" thing

there are changes to this from April '10
