lawyers - if I've signed a contract is there a period of time during which I can change my mind?

this is to let our house to someone. at the moment the contract signed by us is with the agent (it would have arrived at their office through the post this morning). we haven't seen a copy signed by the tenants.

since sending it in the post something has come to light that we're not very happy with. it was our responsibility to be aware of this something but but we also feel the letting agent should have told us.

are we bound by the contract?

there's a significant typo in the contract (nothing to do with the "something") which I spotted last night...which probably needs changing.

I think that if the contract is not dated then it has not completed. I would definitely ring the agent and tell them that they are NOT under any circumstances to complete the tenancy agreement. If you are not sure then I would go down to the office and ask for it back so that they can't date and exchange the parts (after which you would be bound). There is not a cooling of period per se but think that if you act quickly should be ok.
